The curse of KFC drags on…

I went to bed after pick 14..

Woke up to find out we drafted yet another WR that KFC won’t be able to see thru his Pringles can field vision.

Wasted two draft picks on receiving targets for KFC.

What a waste.
I’m done watching KAM, **** shit up.

Does anybody do any post draft analysis of all these mock drafts to show how stupid they all are?

All it takes is a trade or two early and the endless articles turn into a big pile of crap.

Thats like asking if all the moves in the history of monopoly have ever turned into actual property.

The draft is a game period. Its an opportunity for fans to make moves and accumulate talent to improve their team in play time, not real time.

Don’t be such a curmudgeon.

I know of many people that love the drama---friends will turn down great seats to a Twins game to sit home and watch the draft with friends and family.

Well that's stupid.

You can go to the game, and watch the draft on your mobile device (phone).

Best of both worlds IMHO

Great game live last night and great seats. Was on the road for 30 mins before the pick

I'm sure we'll find defensive starters with our lateish 3,4,5,6 round picks...

I bet that we move up for a quarterback first - hendon hooker....

Leaving the cupboard even more bare.

I know you can find starters...it's just not likely.

in this league, the best defense is a high-scoring offense....

I'm feeling like a player trade is on the table tonight

like giving up 87 and Cook to get into the second or something like that

or like the Purple Daily guys speculating a trade for Trey Lance

Defenses showed late last year that they could slow JJ down with lots of double and triple teams. AT and KJ weren't able to make them pay for that. Hopefully Addison can. If he does it will be a successful pick.

With Porter being available and not taking him they must have some confidence that Booth and Evans will be ready to go, I hope they are correct on that gamble.

Lots of work left and few assets to do it with.

Can Addison play corner? If not, I'm not sure how we are going to cover guys on defense.

… and at least a little bit of defense.

Sure the offense will be good. If we don’t significantly improve our defense, even mediocre offenses will keep pace with us in games like they did last year.

You can’t make noise in the playoffs with half a team. And Cousins.

It is really interesting how "disappointed" people are about not getting the QBOTF last night...

we just weren't in position for Young or Stroud, who are really the only ones worth trading up for

It is clear that we didn't have the trade capital to move up to #2 for Stroud (glad we dodged the Richardson trap)...

It was pretty clear that they were trying to see if they could trade down from 23, taking it to the last second...

it's just a fact of where we are in the draft this year

I get being down on offense over defense there, but Addison is a really decent pick

I was with three other guys watching the draft last night. We all agreed that the worst four picks of the opening round were the Packers, Vikings, Lions (first pick) and Falcons. What in the world were any of those teams thinking on those picks?

I slept on it and in the fresh light of morning, I'm still underwhelmed with this pick. With all of the glaring needs the Vikings have, they opted to draft their #3 WR. I'm sure some will proclaim him as the #2, but I'm skeptical that he will come in and leapfrog over KJ. I know that there is some sentiment that the receiver pool drops off drastically after Addison, but I would have been fine with not drafting a receiver at all this year.

The kid's interview did nothing to make me feel any better about it. He came off as a smug arrogant dick, who immediately started talking about getting paid.

Corner was a glaring need and Joey Porter Jr slid right into our laps. Big,fast, physical modern corner.

There were both DT and edge rushers who could have provided immediate help.

QBOF is another glaring need as we are probably heading into our final year of Cousins. Levis and Hooker were there. In fact they could have traded back and gotten one of them.

The good news is that some slid through to the second round. Hopefully KAM can find a way into the second and get one.

Honestly, I'm not that concerned about the getting paid stuff. As someone who runs in football circles a bit, this is a common statement among young kids playing the game. It's the same as the "eat" gesture. I find it less alarming than "First I want to thank God.........." Yea, save that nonsense. Who you should be thanking your parents for the gene pool and the five people that wrote your term papers while you were in college.

What I do find alarming, however, is the fact that we gave up the second most yards passing in the NFL last season and didn't do anything to address it. I find that particularly nauseating.

The Lions had two first round picks and take a running back and a linebacker. Too bad they didn't have a another first round pick so they could have drafted a safety.

stock piling talent in areas that are essentially a waste of resources.

First round should always be OL, DL, WR, QB, and CB. If you don't need any of those I would look to trade back.

As I expected he did not go in the first round. He will possibly go in the 2nd. I'd stand pat for him and hope to get him in the third. If we miss out not much of a loss IMO.

Often Divas are the best WRs.

My favorite two picks of the first round were Darnell Wright (Bears) and Emmanuel Forbes (Washington).

The Eagles also scored big time on both picks.

When the Vikings draft a USC player and Brad doesn't like it, that tells me all I need to know.

Wow, I'm surprised they don't test for it at the combine.

There's been a lot of USC players I didn't like. Addison can play. I don't hate him in the least. I hated the pick because we had other glaring needs.

I believe the Brian Flores effect had a major influence to go offense vs best available defense.

I love this review on NFL.com

Analysis: Addison was too strong a value for the Vikings to pass up. He would have been picked earlier if not for his slight build, average top-end speed for his size and occasional drops. Addison is such a tough player, though. He will be a great complement for Justin Jefferson working from the slot.

So they are saying he would have gone much higher if he wasn't small, slow and drops passes? And this got the Vikings an A

It was a joke Brad. I should have put up an appropriate emoji to signify it.
