New Orleans and the NY Jets might be interested in Kirk.

Donatell was horrible, Flores is average, might never be great.

It's hard to evaluate coaches when you have a QB that sees things slowly, has no pocket presence, has many throws that are late, but looks ok at times because he has a good arm that can make accurate throws.

He's the eternal tease. Like Jeff George.

I have a feeling the Vikings will trade up or just draft Drake May, and he will be a bust.

The QB to get is Caleb Williams.

Plenty of guys don't pan out. You just never know. Keep drafting until you find one.

Is Kirk interested in either one of them?

He has a no trade clause...

2nd and goal at half yard line..and u cant do a sneak??

If Kirk cant do it put a bigger guy in..
I dont understand y coaches cant have a designated sneak play.
A strong guy that practices that play with a huge guy behind him to push.

God knows Minnesota will ever have a big mean center of the OL.

My feelings on the game

1. I love JJ, Addison is showing up big time. Loved KJ's superman impression on the TD. Mattison was running like a beast

2. That's about where the good ends. Kirk was under duress almost instantly at the snap on nearly every single drop back. It was beyond terrible.

3. Byron Murphy was abused, exposed, and used. They were picking on him almost exclusively. He was never in a position to make a play and the Coaches never changed a thing.

4. Akayleb, Young man, if the ball hits you in the hands, you need to catch it.

5. Can anyone on the Vikings cover Keenan Allen? Or Mike Williams for that matter?

6. OK. So my 9 year old daughter, who could not care less about football, could run a better two-minute drill than these guys. That was embarassing.

7. Chargers were stupid to go for it on 4th down late in the game at that position on the field. Analytics be damned, they should have forced the Vikings to drive the entire field to get the winning score with little time left and no timeouts. Hell, the way the Vikings did the Two minute drill before the half it was clear they didn't have a clue how to do that. It's only our idiocy in this two minute drill that saved their butts.

This was a team loss. The offense did not look particularly effective against the 32nd ranked defense to that point. The Defense gave up 18 catches and 215 yards to ONE GUY. Over 100 to another and put NO PRESSURE on Herbert despite blitzing more than 50%of the time.

Kirk Cousins is not the QB to carry this team to the promised land. That being said he did make a lot of good throws but was late throwing too many times and when it really mattered, in the final two minutes, he looked like a blithering idiot. any other 12 year veteran knows to get up there and spike the ball....

This season is effectively over. We should win against Carolina but the way we're playing now we wont. and the following week we will not beat the chiefs. So best case we're 1-4. May as well start shopping Hunter, Osborn, and anyone else not named JJ.

#2 is not true. I started counting one-one-thousand, two-one-thousand, three-one-thousand, etc... out loud in the stands. Sometimes I got to six-one-thousand at the sack. Pressure is going to get home on a percentage of plays for every team. Our pressure was just as good as theirs but Herbert maneuvered in the pocket like a pro. Going into yesterday's game the Vikes were #8 in the league in pressure allowed. A sack at the fifth second doesn't count as a pressure.

I believe that's the play where they ran left, and lost yards. Obviously Im not an OL coach but I am confused why the OL would line up in a wing formation with each lineman further from the line than the lineman next to him starting at the center. They showed an overhead shot and the tackle looks like he's over a yard off the line.

Maybe there's a good reason for it and Id be receptive to listening.

Worth noting in the aftermath of an 0-3 start for the Vikings…

Today’s game started with TJ Hockenson fumbling [fighting for yards after he had the first down aka AD] … it ended with the ball bouncing off him for a game-sealing INT

- huh

Trouble is we need to rush 6 or 7 to get pressure and the Bolts only needed to rush 4.

It was easy pickens for Herbert with quick throws against single coverage(and not very good single coverage).

Having said all that, Kirk did not have a good game with some late throws and the debacle at the end.

Yea,cousins hater here… no surprise, but he was given ample time to make throws,at multiple times in both halves…

He did not..

That is on him.
when he finally did his accuracy was mediocre, at best.

He can make good throws, but the number of game changing easy throws he misses on constantly, is diguating.. Too high..

Too long..

Wide right..

Across the body, left while rolling right..

Wtf goes thru his ****ing head..

Most QBks have an internal stopwatch that kicks in at the snap..

JFC, has a 60 second egg timer, that KOC, flips for him over the helmet speaker.

Sssssssssssssssssssssssss.

The sand streams down, while KFC, slowly determines the defensive read, makes his valedictorian speech play call.. possibly checks out… to a run..

Sssssssssssss..

Ball get snapped with fractions of a second left on the play clock…

Good post.

Do you want Queasy making the trades?

Whether I want him to or not....

He's the GM right now and if trades are made he's making them.

At this point the writing is on the wall and this shit needs to be blown up. Trade trade trade then use the draft capital to move up to number one. (shouldn't be hard starting Hall at QB and no pass rush we should be pretty close to the top anyway).

To answer your question, not particularly...but again it doesn't matter what I want.

Time to shop Hunter.

Agreed

Hard to believe 3 games in and no one else with a sack

I will say it again. This is the worst front 7 in football

It's the worst defensive line in the history of the Vikings. The GM who put together this defensive line should be fired. I don't want Quesy picking any more players for this team. Waiting until week 2 to get an interior offensive lineman and then having to spend draft picks to address the RB position while doing NOTHING in free agency, the draft or post draft is poor planning. He drafted a RB that isn't on the active roster, how do you manage to do that? He then had to give up a draft pick to get a back up RB because he whiffed in the draft. Zero faith in Quesy. Fire him before he makes things worse because sadly they CAN get worse.

Kwesi looking like garbage in a hurry.

Serious lack of talent on the field.

Wasting time on bringing in a running back.

He had to swap draft picks to bring in a backup RB because he whiffed in the draft on the RB he selected. Quesy has no business evaluating and drafting players. He has no experience evaluating players so it's hardly a surprise that he's very bad at it. Fire him now and hire a GM with experience evaluating QB's because that's where this is headed at the end of the season.

Not just QBs

Oline as well. We need a serious upgrade there. without it, it wont matter which QB we have.

Also. Hire Mike Tice to coach the OLine. He was pretty good with that job (granted he had far better talent to work with).

Cards 15-3 over Dallas. We could be top 5 in draft order by tonight!

We need to be drafting in the top 5. It's critical to the future of the Vikings. Trade Cousins even if it means not getting great returns for him because (i) he will not be here next year; (ii) we need as many draft picks as possible; (iii) he's capable of stringing together some wins and finishing around .500 would be a disaster for the future of this team; and (iv) give the rookie QB some time to see if anything more than just a guy (think I already know the answer to that, but give him a shot).

o'connell doesn't call a game plan that works for our personnel...he expects way too much from cousins, who is very very limited behind our o-line...when he went with an expanded wr package everything seemed to work - as expected, the passing game opened holes for the running game....

he cannot put kirk in a situation where he has to manage the 'team' so to speak...kirk will never be anything more than just another employee....

kirk cousins is a robot without AI....
