ORIGINAL: Trekgeekscott My feelings on the game 1. I love JJ, Addison is showing up big time. Loved KJ's superman impression on the TD. Mattison was running like a beast 2. That's about where the good ends. Kirk was under duress almost instantly at the snap on nearly every single drop back. It was beyond terrible. 3. Byron Murphy was abused, exposed, and used. They were picking on him almost exclusively. He was never in a position to make a play and the Coaches never changed a thing. 4. Akayleb, Young man, if the ball hits you in the hands, you need to catch it. 5. Can anyone on the Vikings cover Keenan Allen? Or Mike Williams for that matter? 6. OK. So my 9 year old daughter, who could not care less about football, could run a better two-minute drill than these guys. That was embarassing. 7. Chargers were stupid to go for it on 4th down late in the game at that position on the field. Analytics be damned, they should have forced the Vikings to drive the entire field to get the winning score with little time left and no timeouts. Hell, the way the Vikings did the Two minute drill before the half it was clear they didn't have a clue how to do that. It's only our idiocy in this two minute drill that saved their butts. This was a team loss. The offense did not look particularly effective against the 32nd ranked defense to that point. The Defense gave up 18 catches and 215 yards to ONE GUY. Over 100 to another and put NO PRESSURE on Herbert despite blitzing more than 50%of the time. Kirk Cousins is not the QB to carry this team to the promised land. That being said he did make a lot of good throws but was late throwing too many times and when it really mattered, in the final two minutes, he looked like a blithering idiot. any other 12 year veteran knows to get up there and spike the ball.... This season is effectively over. We should win against Carolina but the way we're playing now we wont. and the following week we will not beat the chiefs. So best case we're 1-4. May as well start shopping Hunter, Osborn, and anyone else not named JJ. #2 is not true. I started counting one-one-thousand, two-one-thousand, three-one-thousand, etc... out loud in the stands. Sometimes I got to six-one-thousand at the sack. Pressure is going to get home on a percentage of plays for every team. Our pressure was just as good as theirs but Herbert maneuvered in the pocket like a pro. Going into yesterday's game the Vikes were #8 in the league in pressure allowed. A sack at the fifth second doesn't count as a pressure. Maybe I heard it wrong but if not, Leber doesnt agree with you: https://x.com/nacholeber/status/1706063675855937768?s=20 I just watched the clip. I didn't hear anything that would disagree with me. ... you have to make the QB feel you .... we did not do that Herbert felt the pressure. He also navigated it. Dude put on a masterclass of pocket awareness. Sometimes he only moved two steps. Sometimes it was five or seven steps. All the while his eyes were downfield.

I wouldn't give ANY qb $30-50+ mil unless that QB had won me a Super Bowl. Did you win a Super Bowl on your rookie deal? Yes? Great! Here's your hugenormous contract. F it let's just run victory laps and love life. No? Good luck. Next!
