ORIGINAL: David Jerde my q: if you have the funds and know the significantly appreciating value of the investment, why would you miss any deadlines. i’m suspicious of a-rod & lore’s posturing. Their position is that everything was submitted to the NBA for approval by the deadline, which is supposed to trigger the 90 day extension. Though it pains me to say it, I'm kind of on Glen's side on this one. Yes he has been a failure as an owner over the years as far as putting a winning product on the court, but he didn't become a billionaire by making bad business decisions. The value of the franchise rose dramatically during the sale process. If he can use some technical failures of contract obligations as an out to hold on a while longer and sell down the road for a billion dollars more, it's not too surprising. Its a rock and a hard place situation as to who I'm "rooting" for.. I'm not sure how much I trust ALore to keep the team here long-term, and there is definitely a bit of Shyster to both of them. With Glen, there is no doubt he loves the Wolves and Minnesota. But he's like 185 years old and his wife and heirs have no interest in running the team. My worry is if he goes, Becky immediately sells to the highest bidder, no matter what their plans for the franchise are.
