Finch sacrificed himself to break the Wolves curse. That was supposed to be Ant. Should be smooth sailing to the championship now.

Based on the regular season failures against the Suns I did not have a good feeling about this series. Boy was I wrong. Spectacular job by the team and our Alpha Dog, ANT. KAT looks comfortable playing the sidekick role and we have a deep and multifaceted group of role players to support those two.

I'm very excited about this team!

The maturity level of Ant is through the roof. Tremendous teammate. He always directs everything to be about his teammates.

Denver has taken a small step back.

The way they are playing, this is the year for TWolves to get to Finals.

When I watched Denver they have no one that can match up to KAT, Naz, or Ant.

That might be pushing it...

Naz is great, but Aaron Gordon is better. And Gordon has historically been the type of guy that gives KAT trouble.

Naz needs to play a lot better than he did against Phoenix (who physically didn't have anyone that could match up with him, but he was terrible).

To beat Denver, we probably have to put KAT on Jokic and try to make him into a scorer. Rudy guards Gordon and is available to double. McDaniels sticks to Porter and Ant/NAW check Murray. And you try to hide Conley on KCP - who isn;t much of a threat to drive or create.

Hope you're right. To me Denver is the team to beat and OKC is a very tough matchup for us. Jokic is obviously the best and I like Shai as much as anyone. Hopefully it's a bit early for him to start winning Championships. I never underestimate Ant though!!!

That's history, folks. The 2024 Timberwolves are the first team in Minnesota's major pro sports history to sweep a best-of-7 series. Before this, the Wolves, Twins, Wild, North Stars, and yes, the Mpls. Lakers, had combined for 60 7-game series — with none winning via sweep.

two comments: first, I believe it was in an article from The Athletic that was talking MN sport sweeps (mens teams because Lynx I guess have done it a lot) and they said NorthStars did it before they moved. Someone else too I believe. I'll keep my eye out for details.

Second, why all the discussion, didn't a poster explain it all to us a couple weeks ago -- WASTED SEASON; PHX, DEN, OKC, have us wasting our time ; )

Yes, I doubt Jeff will be back. He did his usual drive by to trash the Woves because they can't beat Phoenix, until they did.

Karl-Anthony Towns in the playoffs:

19.3 PPG
9.5 RPG
53.1% FG
52.9% 3PT
88.9% FT

🔒 Durant, Booker, and Beal shot a combined 37% FG and 20% 3PT when guarded by KAT.

KAT also isn't getting bogged down crying for fouls in real time. He has finally learned to keep playing and talk to the officials during stoppages. That said, he is still picking up a lot of stupid fouls away from the play. His points and rebounds could be even higher if he wasn't on the bench in fould trouble.

Wolves will beat Denver in 5 or 6. They barely could squeeze by a dysfunctional Laker team that can't defend.

I hope so. We are playing well and are healthy so I certainly think we have a good chance. Rudy though, seems to struggle guarding the Joker.

Not to mention Joker gets away with as much crap as Booker.

KAT usually guards Jokic.

Our success against them is turning Jokic into a scorer and talking away his passing.

I think the Wolves have quicker and longer defenders who can handle Joker's 40(per game) illegal hip check screens he sets.

Not to mention the elbows. I have literally seen Timberwolves defenders called for hitting Joker in the elbow with their chins.

Ant was great in the post game presser.

Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns did their postgame interview together at a small table near the locker room, and Towns was asked a question about how he navigated this series, then came up with his best performance in Game 4, a 122-116 victory, with 28 points and 10 rebounds.

Edwards instead answered the question and said Towns played so well on Sunday night because he finally didn't get in foul trouble, something Edwards had been pleading with him to stop doing.

"Let me just say, tonight he wasn't in foul trouble," Edwards said. "The first three games . . . he just kept fouling. What did I tell you last game?"

Towns answered: "Find a way not to foul them."

Then Edwards continued his point.

"If you watch the game, every time in the third quarter when we would grow a lead, it's because he's in the game. They don't have a matchup for him. I'm like,'KAT, we not going to win Game 4 if you keep fouling.' We just got to keep him from getting in foul trouble and he's gonna be great every night."

Is there room on Wolves bandwagon?

If Lakers draft Bronny to keep a group together that is going downhill, I will not be happy. Blow it up, Pelinka.

I hope Towns listens to Ant and stays out of foul trouble against the Nuggets. We're going to need him on the court. Minimize the dumb and frustration fouls.

Not really.

Although Edwards is a guy that is easy to root for.

Lakers FO wants to fill the seats, not win championships.
