1 nitpick from today. Come on KOC. 3 misdirection laterals to try and setup a screen? Really?

KOC loves to run pass plays and gadget plays in the red zone. Flores probably was near Stuessie slap mode.

Where did they find Redmond from the UFL?

Also Jamin Davis looks athletic and was a former #1. Players want to come here.

He outdid himself on that one.

This week we’ll be practicing the ‘Quad’.

The next Vikings red zone gadget play that works will be the first Vikings red zone gadget play that works.

I hope this spanking gets the Bills motivated for next week.

Buff is running in to the same gauntlet we ran in to. 2 best offenses in the league, when healthy.

Huge missed (blatant) false start in the Rams on 4th and 5.

About as blatant as the illegal block Cupp through on the TD. Getting hard to trust this league.

Bringing this over. Last 4 games:

Cousins: 0 TDs, 8 INTs.
Darnold: 11 TDs, 0 INTs.

How many crusaders could possibly be left?

No matter how many, he will stare them all down. On his iPad.

Bottom line. Glad we don't have him holding us hostage. I'd say the same if we were 5-8.

Saw that too. He was engaged blocking and holding pretty much right at the snap.

Quality win? It was aided by catching Atl in a downward spiral, KCs in freak out mode, etc. Scored 42, doubling on their 21, yet 21 is about an average score.

Maybe a win with a high quality 4th quarter.

During Cousins month long bout of xxx (an intestinal issue), he's averaging 267 ypg, which would be second in the NFL between Burrow and Jackson.

As if there needed to be more, further proof he's a stat boy.

Sign Sam. Get 2 new G’s.

Mayfield's contract is the floor. Slim to no chance, and slim just left town.

Actually Darnold's future might depend on the late schedule and playoffs. Revert to old Sam and you can rewind the $10M contract. Lead the team to the SB, let alone win it, the checkbooks open.

And there is always the franchise tag.

Not sure we can franchise off of rookie contract and on a one year. If possible good option. It would cost about 42 million.

Just broke a Vikings record with 11th 100 plus game rating of season.

Sam Darnold NFC Ranks:

Pass Yards: 3299 (3rd)
Pass TDs: 28 (1st)
20+ / 40+ YD pass plays: 1st
Passer Rating: 108 (2nd)
YDS / A: 8.6 (1st)

I am eating a big bowl of crow. I for one can admit I didn’t expect this from Sam

I heard there is nothing in Sam's contract that can keep him from being franchised, but maybe there is some rules on it that might say otherwise?

We’re short of elite but this team is a SB contender.

Sam is short of elite but good enough.

This team is a little frustrating but also a lot of fun.

Time to buy in. Let go of the fear of the past. This team can do it.

More and more the franchise tag looks like a good solution.

I still think it comes down to the playoffs... if the Sam melts down (and we've seen no signs of that in a while), they stick to the plan move on.

If Sam balls out... then Kwesi's campagne problems throw the original plan out the window.

Transition tag is 31 million

Franchise is 38 million.

It should come down to how Sam plays in the playoffs. 15-2 or 14-3 and an exit prior to the NFCCG and it’s going to be hard hanging onto Sam, hoping for another great season and then not falling short again. I’d rather roll with JJM.

Give me some magic in the playoffs. Play in the NFCCG and I’m in for more Sam. Go to the SB and I’m all in. Win the SB…forget about it.

Nobody did.

I had high hopes that he'd be serviceable. With good targets and a pretty good Offensive minded coach...

He's exceeded my expectations.

One thing I will say is that as the game goes on the offense gets better it seems.

That bodes well.

I'd like better starts like we had earlier in the year.

Our Defense has been giving up lots of yards but tends to keep opposing teams out of the endzone more often than not.

My concern is the slow starting and letting teams matriculate down the field like they do will end up costing us in an important game yet down this last stretch or against the Eagles or Lions in the playoffs. We must play more complete game to beat these really good teams.
