JJM not only was the fastest sperm to the egg, he was there so fast he jumped in and said; were a zygote now bitch, let’s roll. A few sperm got to see the ass end of that thing rolling out of there on its way to making a beautiful human being that would grow up to be our Cerebral Ninja Assassin and saviour.

Hope we have our future like Washington does. Done dinking around with Darnold.

You mean Kirk.....Sam is likely here one year and did just fine. Expectations are higher but it was one game he struggled in.

You mean Kirk. You’ve just transferred your bottomless QB standards to Sam.

One game.

(you see, when I do that it signifies boisterous laughter with a hint of disbelief; when you do it, it looks like Jim Carrey’s Fire Marshall Bill)

It was a one-out-of-one situation … playing in a critical playoff type atmosphere.

Hopefully, Sam comes back with a vengeance tonight.

When he kneels down in the first huddle, I’d like to see the other ten dudes pop him whack-a-mole style on top of his helmet, reverse engineer the spinning stars inside his head.

Even Kirk competed, to a point.

More like all the years of Kirk we are spilling into Sam's one game is more what I meant...

3-4 bad passes
yea .. this is the same way a certian sector of the public views the outrageous lies spewed by “ other teams”..

JFC.. the rest of us WISH, It were just “3-4” bad passes at Detroit…

We all watched a much different game, JJM hater….

They used to call me 99 yard Hail Mary Mallett.

Moved from guard to QB for a Hail Mary backed up on our 1 yard line. HS. Championship game. We had no passing game bc of the snow storm. Runs on 1st and 2nd down went no where. Normally I could throw end zone to end zone np and during our last time out coach and I were talking and he said - I can’t call your # bc of this storm! What are we gonna do! We’re going to lose! I told him I got this. I needed my big arm to do it but what I also needed was a feel for the wind like a putter on the green. There was a swirl of wind on the opposite 30 that if I could just get it up in there i knew it would carry it 30ish more yards. And it did. Just over the WR’s right shoulder in the back of the EZ.

More like all the years of Kirk we are spilling into Sam's one game is more what I meant...

3-4 bad passes

It was way more than 3-4 bad passes.....he was 12-29 at one point. He had 7 bad passes in the first 2 red zone trips. He was throwing uncatchable passes. That being said the years have Kirk have giving him a short leash...the short leash you would have given to Kirk is the same Sam now has.

3-4 bad passes.

What was Sam's QBR or QB rating if he only had 3-4 bad passes? Ill look it up and copy the link.
If I look for QBR settings he was 30th; he beat out Will Levis. He was so bad he was about 6th going into the final game---he dropped to 14th for the season after the game.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/qbr/_/view/weekly/seasontype/2

Hard to complete a pass when you are getting hit. Sacked twice and 10 more hits. A quarterback can only do so much.

I like how some of you think the game of football is so damned easy. Phil probably couldn't throw a ball 20 yards.

If….. let’s just say…YOU THROW THE ****ING BALL!!… you don’t take a ****ing sack, and if the other team hits you AFTER YOU THROW THE ****ING BALL!!!…it’s a god damn penalty…

How is this so ****ing hard to get past your SD is the new Jesus, blinders?

I think the Vikings will win this one tonight.

They will play much better as a team than the Detroit game. There isn't a much larger amount bet on Minnesota this time, so they will "let them play", meaning Vikings defenders will get away with a little bit of holding and PI, a few no calls. And the Rams also won't be able to get away with an obvious facemask penalty in the end zone.

I think the Vikings will win this one by a FG.

3-4 bad passes …

nope. not going to take the bait.

like I did when the mayan calendar predicted sasquatch mating with chupacabra to create jan. 6 insurrection babies.

I’m sure that sasquatch more than fulfilled his marital duties but … c’mon now …

He isn't completely inaccurate except the 3-4 bad passes.....(the first red zone attempt).

Zero doubt in my mind we’re going to lose.

The special team we could have been died in Detroit. We popped off early after the GB win and that was really that.

Remember the AC team? Pretty stacked team on the cusp....that is what I see here. They just have to get out of their own way (that year it was the strike and a dropped pass).

In 1993 I chose to watch football for the 1st time. I seen Jim McMahon and I was like - I know that guy! He was trying to come back against the Giants. Then for no reason I adopted them from there. I didn’t know shit about football even though my dad had it on most Sunday’s. Cowboys fan. Played in HS never watched a game.

They were 8-7 (15 games due to the strike) that year. Pretty talented but Wade Wilson was a pedestrian QB. AC went berserk receiving and returning for two playoff games, that's why they got to the NFCCG in the first place. He was the only cool thing in those playoffs, although having 1st team All-Pro Joey Browner at safety was pretty nice. But that team was a precursor to the more talented 1989 team, unfortunately still with Wade Wilson.

I don't see the similarities with this team in terms of being talented and on the cusp. For one, there will probably a new secondary and mostly new DL although they could bring back some of the cheap one-year rentals. Also QB uncertainty.

0-3 during the strike games which almost cost them the playoffs. They beat two very good teams on the road (SF and NO). Washington ended up winning the SB and we were in it until the end where Darrin Nelson dropped a pass near the end zone.

Tommy Kramer and Wade Wilson were the QBs.....Tommy turned into the backup midseason.

87 & 88 team were the reason they traded for Hershel.

OK, from what I have seen of this disagreement, I mostly agree with Brad. Darnold had a few passes that were off by enough to lose the completion early on. What I saw through out the game was the failure of our receivers to get open. Whether getting out played by the secondary, or poor choices in play calling, I don't know. But I being a person on the internet am inclined to hold the receiver corp at least half responsible.

None of those things are similarities to the 2024 team... there wasn't a strike, we haven't beaten anyone on the road in the playoffs, haven't been in the NFCCG, haven't used two QBs (and Kramer played in the NO playoff game in what were some weird QB substitutions), and I doubt we trade for a RB later thinking that's the missing piece to SB aspirations.

Additionally, Vikings teams in that era ended up with three stars courtesy of the USFL: Zimmerman, Millard, and AC. We have no defunct league.

I seen it in Jefferson’s demeanour when he was being interviewed after the game. He said he was already on to the next game. The reporter was like - just like that? JJ says yes. And what you can read him saying is - we’re done. Sam’s a bum. - It was all business. A job. No glory just FU money.

I will agree I thought Lions secondary played outstanding... played physical and Vikes WRs need to adjust.

HOWEVER, here is a clip of just missed TD opportunities...

Far more than "a few" passes.
For whatever reason, had a really rough night.

Needs to be better in the playoffs.

What I saw through out the game was the failure of our receivers to get open. Whether getting out played by the secondary, or poor choices in play calling, I don't know. But I being a person on the internet am inclined to hold the receiver corp at least half responsible.

Hope he got the bad games out of his system and it's smooth sailing from here.

It was RZ futility not matched in 5 years.

No..nooo.. it’s not a was 3-4 “bad passes”…

SD was kicking Christian Ponder’s statistical ass and stealing his wife..

Lord….

We have an OL that can be bull rushed and usuallly stunt blitzed, any time an opposing DC chooses to take a shot..

SD processes his hot read like a sloth from ZOOTOPIA..

Goff had no problem identifying the open spot vacated by a blitz and dropping a hot pass to the open spot..

We can not say the same for Mr” one year wonder”..

If he shits the bed, tonight, cut him in the fn locker room, and let the jock slobbering SD lovers, have their last drool fest about “ coulda, shoulda, woulda.. “ and move on..

This is the only game that matters after clinching a playoff spot..

The bye and HFA were there for the having.. but MR. GEQBUS, CHOKED!!

I expect nothing but stress, sweat, cursing at my TV, and ultimately, disappointment.

I know we agreed to wait until July 2027, our 20 year anniversary, to cash out but if we lose tonight I want out. I know I’ll miss out on my 50K post bonus but it is what it is. L = mail that check after the sale of my stock and calculation of my % of the ad money.
