Schedule looks like cake.

Looks favorable to me, yet ...

... the NFL.com rates it the 4th in "... toughest regular-season slates," T-16 on strength of schedule.

Lions are the real deal and Bears have improved on paper considerably. Couldn't beat the Packers last year.
Color me a bit concerned.

I believe we split with the Puke last year or am I recalling incorrectly.

If only there was a way to quickly check that.

We each won on the road.

Vikings sign TE Robert Tonyan

the fastest TE on the team...4.58/40

6'-5'' 235

11 tds in 2020

why can't he stick with any team?

He stuck in GB - he was a Packer for 5 years. And then a Bear for 1.

He had an outlier TD year in 2020 with 11 TDs on only 52 receptions. He has 6 TDs over his other 5 seasons.

Doesn't seem to be the same player since tearing his ACL in 2021.

Maybe because of Hockensen's injury.

Just seems like like we rain players at the position while we eke out the best we can with a few low level guys at IOL.

We absolutely need to pick up a quality starting LG. Hopefully one becomes available after cut downs.

Risener still available.

Wonder what it is about him that we, and other teams obv, don’t like?

He wants too much $$$

I cringe to think of the demon spawn those two would produce.

I cut something from 2 pages back and didn't mean to have it posted - at least not at that time.

I was hoping to start a new thing. Instead of best rock bands…a list of celebrities we WOULD eat as hamburgers. No takers. Maybe its own thread…?

Now don’t go thinking I’m crazy…I’m not talking about murdering people and processing their meat for consumption. Imagine you’re minding your own business and it’s offered. Opportunity human hamburger.

I have a list.

Thanks, man! Had a nice birthday cooking dinner w/ my wife w/ fresh herbs and veggies out of the garden (in other words, doing old people stuff)! Got an extended cut of Tom Petty's Wildflowers on vinyl and a first edition of The Moon is Down by John Steinbeck. Combined w/ a few cigars, a wonderful evening!

P.S.- Also, one major development. I decided I won't be acknowledging birthdays after this one. Gonna stay 49 forever!

In Vikings news, JJ is not at OTAs. No surprise there. KOC says he loves him.

How about some tough love for the sorry excuse of the 'face of the franchise'?

Might have been Erin Henderson who recently said the team won't do jack until they change their nice family culture.

Agreed. I'm in the camp that was looking to move him for a ton of draft capital (and/or a solid player at a position of need). Keenan Allen was moved for practically nothing, so there are plenty of good/great WR's out there to fill voids.

Henderson could be right, just not sure what he really knows about winning.

McCarthy knows about winning, and so does Flores, so I think the Vikings are headed in the right direction. They might want to consider making Flores the HC in the next year or two, if KOC doesn't get better with getting a good run game going, making the right calls to win games.
