Sam Darnold just hit Justin Jefferson in stride on a post for a 50ish yard TD in team drills. Jefferson was PUMPED. It as the kind of throw you don’t see every QB make.

Maybe we can get Thielen back.

Now that would be a great option for WR3.

I'd support that

Yea, if he wants vet minimum, and a lot of incentives in his contract.

I am not on board with big money for a bottom of the lifespan , third reciver.

Almost anyone can fill that spot.

Move on, quit trying to hold onto things that have proven to be not quit good enough.

He was still good. We just moved on because he cost too much.
He was still the best WR Carolina had last year. Translate that to WR3...he'd fill that role nicely.

Do you think Thielen would take WR3 money?
I’m not giving him the “ hometown hero” fist bump and generous contact at his age.

His ankles are shot or damn close to it.
A reasonable “ year to year amount for the type of role he will have with a generous bump for meaningful production, like FD catches, and points scored..

Fine.

A medium length contact with ridiculous guarantees and no trade, no cut, big roster bonus..

Nope.

Ok. I'm just saying I'd take him back. I didn't say let's pay him top dollar.

He's no fool. He knows his career in on the decline. I wouldn't be surprised with him taking less to come home. And asking him to do less and still contribute....would be just what his ailing ankles needs. He can play one more year and still contribute.

Nobody works harder.

Carolina gives him the best chance at winning a Super Bowl.

You tube has a few videos about his struggles..

Seems his ability to proces his responsibilities in the defense are not cutting it..

He is one TC and preseason from washout..

Go get this guy in free agency.

J.C. Jackson - 25 Interceptions and 53 pass breakups in his first 4 years, then signed a huge deal with the Chargers and was a disaster. Ankle injury caused him to miss training camp, then blew out his knee.

He's only 28 and is now 2 years removed from the ACL injury.

The cornerback's career has been up and down, with 201 total tackles, one forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, 64 pass deflections, 26 interceptions and one defensive touchdown. In 2021, he led the league in pass deflections with 23, the same year he had career highs in combined tackles (58), solo tackles (44), assisted tackles (14) and touchdowns (1).

Worth a shot if you ask me.

Does Xavien Howard have some legal troubles right now? If not, he is worth a tryout.

Xavien Howard made some adult film content with one of his girlfriends... she alleges without her knowledge...
Then amidst some drama... decided to send aforementioned content to her SON... allegedly.

Don't think the Vikes are going to sign up for that p.r. hit.

Right now anyone with an off the rack Vikings jersey and HS exp as a corner.. is due for a tryout..

Where’s the nearest 7-11?

I agree that the lack of draft picks next year is an issue, no question. Perhaps, they will be more active in free agency next year to offset the lack of draft picks? There's also the possibility of in season trades if this season goes south fast. For this off season to be a A+, both McCarthy and Turner have to be home runs.

They're going to have to do something! Just really rotten news to start training camp. Injuries are so important to success or failure in the NFL.

I really like what Kwesi has done this offseason with new players and extensions. Yes, the old draft choices are very low next year, but he wasn't spectacular using them anyway. I think with our cap room I believe we will be very active in the free agency market next year. Could be another interesting offseason.

The Vikings have made some great moves, but it all falls apart quickly this year if the CBs are a sieve, and Darnold continues to perform poorly under pressure.

Hey Bison. Vikes sign LB Jabril Cox. Can Flores make something out of him? Plenty of athletic ability.

He seemed OK yesterday:

#Vikings cornerback Shaq Griffin, who went down after an interception and spent time in the medical tent, walked off the field without assistance after practice.

And there doesn't appear to be anything about him today.
