The Chiefs RT is still 2 yards off the ball on every snap it was BMores T's that got called for it

Yup, the refs are in mid-season form already!

And I noticed last night that the Packers still get most of the calls.....

Really sad to see Jordan Love might have an injury to keep him out for a bit... (note sarcasm there)

Of course, I still haven't seen him show he is actually good, so maybe it isn't a good thing for us to see him go down

exactly 50% completion?! 260 for 2 TD's 1 int, and one of the td's was blown coverage

just don't get the love for Love

One of my favorite draft moments was when he was taken #1 by GB

heard he also got lucky twice due to stone hand Philly db's. One was said to be a sure pick6

Smell it in the air?

It’s a brand new season…anything is possible.

A fresh start for me. I get discharged from the hospital tomorrow, after an 6 week stay, and life is waiting for me. I feel so blessed. I’m so grateful for the chance(s) I’ve been given.

Let’s have a fun year.

I wonder at what point, if Darald is lighting it up, do you consider signing him and letting he be your guy going forward?

Why?

How many years do you want to keep re-signing some other teams cast offs?

Did JJM so unimpressed you that now it is time to cut bait and fish for another in upcoming drafts? ( which at the current rate, we will be picking one and done in the upper middle of the first round, the waiting till day 3-4 to get “ maybes “

I hope Darnold does well.. doesn’t regress to his mean, of turnover almost identical to his TDs

I have never watched Darnold play one single game, that I am aware of.

But Based on his history, he is a rental place holder.

Jefferson, Addison and Nailor, and Hock,( when he gets back) might help Darnold look pretty good.

What troubles me about him, is his mid range game.

Captain Checkdown andany one of a hundred other can excel at short quick throws.

Mobility and escape ability is very crucial in today’s NFL.

Is Darnold a highly Mobil QB?

Given our OL..he better be, because I guarantee the Bradbury is gonna give up the middle of the pocket at least 16 time in the first 10 games.

If Darnold "lights it up" you franchise tag him and trade him to the highest bidder.

I don't remember how many times I saw Aaron Jones take what looks like a 2 or 3 yard loss for the Packers, and turn it into an 8 yard gain. He did it at least once today for the Vikings.

It's too bad BFlo doesn't have a lawsuit going for discrimination against EVERY team in the NFL, if he did, I think the Vikings might go 20-0.

Our other guys look for the first guy and make sure they get tackled. Jones is different.

Falcons could've saved an absolute fortune by signing Darnold instead of Cousins.

Cousins with 2 really bad picks and (I think) 3 fumbles that were wiped out due to penalties.

From a Falcons fan:

quote:

So in case you are wondering what the numbers are if we want to move on from Cousins after just one year:

$65M dead cap which includes his fully guaranteed 2025 salary ($27.5M) and the remaining signing bonus ($37.5M).

Our options:

a) If the Falcons cut him, all of the $65M counts against the cap in 2025, which is $25M higher than what he count against the cap otherwise. We would have to create an additional $25M cap space (cutting people, restructuring other contracts) to make that work. But he would be off the books completely in 2026.

b) If the Falcons cut him with a post June 1st designation, we would actually get $7.5M after June 1st to help sign the draft class. The negative: $32.5M dead cap moves to 2026.

c) The Falcons find a trade partner willing to take on all or some of Cousins 2025 salary. This would essentially be variant a) just a potentially lower number. A post June 1st trade is also possible but happens very rarely (see Julio trade). But any trade seems extremely unlikely unless we actually send draft picks with him (see Brock Osweiler trade).

Buttom line:

Variant b) is most likely. It actually creates some cap money in 2025 and most of the problem is moved to 2026 and the cap might see another huge jump in the next two years from increased revenues. Variant a) is very unlikely because it would create havok on our roster, most likely having to cut players like Grady. Variant c) could be the best but we would need to send a second or third rounder with him. Our trade partner would essentially be selling $27.5M cap space for draft picks.

Darnold has a bigger arm and looks nimble at times. What a bargain.

Not a great day for the 1st round QBs.

Bears win, but Williams goes 14/29, 93 yards, 0 TDs, 0 INTs. Added 5/15 on the ground.

Daniels goes 12/19, 129 yards, 0 TDs, 0 INTs in a blowout loss. Does add 13/79/1 (2 FUM, neither lost) on the ground.

Nix goes 24/40, 128 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs, including a bad one into triple coverage to pretty much end the game. Added 4/31 on the ground.

Who would've ever guessed Nix would dink and dunk it?

In the first half, Nix struggled immensely. He had a horrific interception staring down Courtland Sutton and was routinely throwing off platform and well behind his receivers. Several throws over the middle of the field could have easily been interceptions. Nix was 12-of-22 for 67 yards and an interception through two quarters. However, a 28-yard strike to Josh Reynolds allowed them to secure a field goal via Wil Lutz at the end of the second quarter. That was arguably his best play of the entire game.

The offense couldn’t get anything started in the second half. A dink-and-dunk offense featuring very little zone coverage beaters effectively euthanized the Broncos’ offensive efforts. By the start of the fourth quarter, Denver had only two first downs through the air. That’s Tim Tebow levels of atrocious. It was an absolute disaster.

Nix ended today’s game going 26-of-42 for 138 yards and 2 interceptions. The team only converted 27-percent of their third downs. For whatever it’s worth, I’m not sure why Head Coach Sean Payton opted to have Nix throw the ball so much in his first start.
