Yuck!

So Rypien and Howell will fight it out with sharp sticks for the PS.

Looks like backup will come with final cutdowns in Sept.

Apparently we swapped picks in the 5th round w/ the Seahawks for QB Sam Howell.

Sanders going to Cleveland is hysterical.

I kinda wondered if he'd go in the fifth or later. Teams often cut 5th rounders. They don't usually cut 4th rounders.

I like RB's Damien Marinez and Raheim Sanders for the last pick.

Howell is interesting. Young. Definite gunslinger. Never been on a good team or had good coaching.

Led the league in passing attempts in 2023 (612) after only throwing 19 passes the year before as a rookie.

Also led the league in INTs in 2023 (21), vs 21 TD passes.

Also led the league in sacks in 2023 (65).

Rushed 48 times for 263 Yards and 5 TD.

Despite 65 sacks (and way more hits), only fumbled 4 times.

Love the Ingram-Dawkins pick.

Danielle Hunter-esque - super athletic, not much production on a loaded college team.

Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins is a DT prospect in the 2025 draft class. He scored a 9.95 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 11 out of 1838 DT from 1987 to 2025.

Bench press dropped him a little.

Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins was drafted in round 5 pick 139 in the 2025 draft class. He scored a 9.79 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 44 out of 2033 DT from 1987 to 2025.

Ingram-Dawkins is a hybrid player who can play defensive end in three-man fronts and defensive tackle in four-man fronts. He's an edge setter who stacks and can forcefully discard offensive tackles as a run defender. He slips blocks and shoots gaps between the tackles. His speed, length and change of direction show room for him to develop into a more disruptive interior pass rusher. At the combine, Ingram-Dawkins had the quickest short shuttle time for the defensive tackles and the third-quickest short shuttle time for all defensive linemen. He knocks blockers' hands off him and mixes in arm-over moves. -- Steve Muench

On the bright side Howell's contract this year is only $1,100,000 and it's not guaranteed. So if someone better comes along our number 2 may not be decided yet.

Texas WR Isaiah Bond is intriguing, too. Projected to be a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

Picking WR's with 2 of our 4 picks would be insane.

Super athletic DT5, Classic 3-4 DE. Could be very scary.

I don't know. This draft feels terrible. To be expected I suppose. I hope our free agents pan out decently. Maybe next year we can have a more normal draft.

Sorry couldn't read what the RAS thing was. I see it's relative athletic score. I want to know how good he is not his family.

Kwesi's saving bogey draft.

Really?

For how few picks we had, I'm really happy with the results.

We got a guy who should be a Day 1 starter at LG, a guy who could be our 3rd WR for the next 4 years and a freak project for Flores to develop.

Kwesi's saving bogey draft.

Feels more like saving triple bogey. At this point if our guard reaches average starter status it's a win.

We will see. I don't see it. I see maybe an average guard at best.

NFLDraftbuzz.com:

Scouting Report: Summary The gap between Ingram-Dawkins' run defense and pass rushing ability tells the story of a player with half-developed tools. When asked to anchor, extend, and control gaps, he shines with technical proficiency and natural power. When tasked with rushing the passer, he's still finding his way – more athlete than technician at this stage. This dichotomy reveals a defender who can contribute immediately in base packages while developing his rush repertoire through specialized coaching and repetition.

Watch the tape and you'll see two different players – a disciplined run defender with proper leverage and hand placement, and a raw pass rusher still learning to translate his explosive testing numbers into consistent pressure. His positional flexibility offers tremendous value in today's multiple-front NFL landscape. A defensive coordinator can deploy him across the defensive line without sacrificing strength or movement skills, making him an intriguing chess piece for creative pressure packages.

Don't mistake modest production for limited potential. The tools are there – explosive first step, powerful hands, natural bend, and disruptive flashes that hint at what's possible. His developmental curve suggests a player whose best football remains ahead of him. While he'll enter the league as a specialized piece in early-down and run situations, patient coaching could unlock a versatile three-down defender who impacts both phases of the game. Finding players with this physical profile and movement skills at this size simply doesn't happen often.
