ESPN Mocks: 2025 NFL mock draft: Peter Schrager's Round 1 pick predictions 24. Minnesota Vikings Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina The Vikings have needs elsewhere and wouldn't list running back as a clear hole on their roster. But if Hampton is on the board, he'd be a wonderful addition to a young core that the organization hopes can grow old together. -------------- 2025 NFL mock draft: Miller predicts 32 first-round picks 24. Minnesota Vikings Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina The Vikings have been connected to defensive backs heavily in the past two weeks and are often mentioned as a trade-back candidate since the team has only four picks in this draft. If they stick, Emmanwori has the height-weight-speed traits to be a difference-maker at safety. ------------- 2025 NFL mock draft: Yates' Round 1 predictions, Kiper's intel 24. Minnesota Vikings Yates' pick prediction: Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina Minnesota's safety room is starting to change; Camryn Bynum is now in Indianapolis, and Harrison Smith is 36 years old. Emmanwori has exceptional physical traits and ball skills, dominating at the combine after a four-INT season. ------------- 2025 NFL mock draft: Jordan Reid's predictions for 257 picks 24. Minnesota Vikings Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina At the combine, Emmanwori ran a 4.38 40 and leaped 43 inches in the vertical and 11 feet, 6 inches in the broad jump. Those were all records at safety dating back to at least 2003. But Emmanwori is more than a combine warrior. He picked off four passes last season, including two pick-sixes, and didn't allow a touchdown in 392 coverage snaps. He can play multiple safety spots, which fits well in a Brian Flores-led defense that emphasizes versatility and complex defensive structures. With the departure of Camryn Bynum this offseason and Harrison Smith turning 36, the Vikings need a younger player in the back end of the secondary. 97. Minnesota Vikings* Omarr Norman-Lott, DT, Tennessee The Vikings signed defensive tackles Javon Hargrave and Jonathan Allen, but Norman-Lott would provide young depth along the defensive line as a designated pass rusher. --------- 2025 NFL mock draft: Kiper's pick predictions for Rounds 1-2 24. Minnesota Vikings Donovan Jackson, G, Ohio State Minnesota signed guard Will Fries and center Ryan Kelly away from the Colts. It's a big improvement on the interior offensive line. Let's take it a step further. Jackson would replace Blake Brandel at the other guard spot, and he has the versatility to kick outside if needed. He did so this past season when Josh Simmons got hurt for Ohio State. That seems relevant given left tackle Christian Darrisaw is recovering from a left knee injury. Jackson is a plug-and-play interior blocker with great agility and technique; he allowed four sacks over 40 career starts. The Vikings do not have a second-round pick, but they could find a solid cornerback at the end of Round 3.
