Ohgren isn't the only jacking himself up. Marco Rossi is up 14 lbs and close to an even 200. He has been training with Joe Thornton in the off-season.

And it sounds like he is doing a lot of work on face-offs too. I still think when the time comes Rossi is going to show Guerin the FU part of his game when he leaves for another team.....

Perfect....he gets paid and reaches his potential.

And goes to another team.

Maybe. I don't think anyone wants him at his price right now.

He'll break through on a bridge deal here and be gone.

Hopefully we get some return if that does happen.

I think the coach was at the leader of what transpired in the playoffs; not Guerin.

Don't kid yourself. Guerin is very hands on. Hynes follows orders.

ST. PAUL, Minn. — After a long offseason of disputed opinions over Marco Rossi’s value, the Minnesota Wild and their final restricted free agent came to a compromise Friday, with the 23-year-old center signing a three-year, $15 million contract that extends through the 2027-2028 season, per league sources.

Rossi will be paid $4 million next season, $5 million in 2026-27 and $6 million in 2027-28. That means that if Rossi’s contract isn’t extended in the summer of 2027 or after the 2027-28 season, his qualifying offer heading into the season preceding unrestricted free agency is $6 million.

This was the smart move by Rossi. The Wild held all the leverage. A training camp holdout would have damaged his value in the long run. Now he needs to show that the beef he added in the offseason erases all concerns about his size and his work with Joe Thornton moved his game up another level.

Yep. In the Wild organization it's Guerin's way or the highway.

Now let's hope Guerin doesn't mess everything up with Kirill. Without getting his name on a new contract Guerin may as well pack his bags now......

This head coach may be in over his head. Sticks our 2nd leading scorer on the 4th line in the playoff series. Must think he's smarter than anyone else in the room.

Did you see that goal that Bruno scored to knock the Avs out in game 7?

As bad as it could have been. We have him back for three.

Gaborik played a hell of a game the other night.

I see now that you all discussed this after the fact too (first page of the post mortem thread). But not as it was happening.

He doesn't have the cards.

It was immediately after. Not 3 + months after the fact.

The deal has been signed. Nobody has any cards right now.

I'm just saying there was nothing in the Gameday or during the series at all.

If you would have mentioned Judds theory that Rossi was worn out and not the same player by years end. That is what some circles reported as dwindling PT and dropping lines. You may have added to the discussion.

Also the reasoning for his workout posts and working with Joe Thornton.
