To be fair that was my memory so I may be misremembering the qb who you liked and busted but for the love of God don't associate anything I say with Adolph "Pedophile" Trump.

I do remember you endorsing Maurice Edward Clarett and said Adam Thielen was a bum and should be selling sunglasses

The Washington QB with a bad hip. Colt Brennan? Yep that was him.

Also Leinhart.

I think if we sign Murray … sign or draft or trade for a c, dt, iol, cb, s, wr, rb

we’ll all be fired up to see how things come together.

throw in a gm at some point and away we go.

Don't bet on it. The last time we had a quarterback that was 14-3 you people couldn't wait to run him out of town.

Did we run Colt McCoy out of town?

Wasn't your eval on him to be a HOF QB?

Why listen to your take now any any player?

I think you have me mistaken with someone else. You gotta be better than that. It's very Trumpian to just make stuff up.

The mistake is it is a team sport for you until a USC QB is involved........everyone knows it.

Again, another myth that has been perpetuated in here for almost 15 years. 100% hated the selection of John David Booty. Always thought Leinhart wasn't athletic enough.

More myths perpetuated from the mythmaster himself.

Myth?
You didn't like Leinhart as much as the other USC QBs but you know you loved Colt Brennan

David Booty---no one liked yet that is the example you used---he was a late round pick.

I forgot how much you loved Colt until Murph's message. Any future 14-3 post by you will be replied to with Colt Brennan.

If they actually sign Murray my question is, is KOC willing to adjust his offense to fit his strengths? Or is KOC going to try to turn a 5'10" running QB into a drop back QB to fit his offense?
If the latter why waste his time? This team has more questions than answers.....

We need more RPO if we start JJM or Murray. Maybe 30% of the time.

But, in my unprofessional opinion, I would think you would want the 7 step drops(that KOC likes off play action) with a short QB. Let's him see better over the OLineman.

Murray has had his best seasons playing over 90% of the time from the shotgun. And he has often indicated he felt more comfortable in the shotgun.

So basically RPO. Makes sense.

I never understood why we didn't use RPO more with JJM. Why not have a young QB looking at the defense the whole time??

Former #AZCardinals Pro Bowl QB Kyler Murray has signed a 1-year deal with the #Vikings, per me and @TomPelissero

Minnesota moved quickly after Murray’s release from Arizona, and now will have the former No. 1 overall pick compete with JJ McCarthy to start.

According to ESPN it's for the vet minimum salary for 1 year with a no tag clause.

I'll bet it's in his contract that he will be guaranteed to be the starter barring injury.

If there is anything in his contract guaranteeing a starting spot, everyone in the Front Office and the HC need to be fired.

He got his No Tag clause. That was enough.

Now that I think about it your probably right. Another bet I would have lost.

He was never going to get more than the minimum.

His contract with Arizona had offset language. Anything more than the minimum from his new team would just mean Arizona was off the hook for that amount.

"When you actually dive in and REALLY study Kyler's experience at the position, you do see a lot of really great qualities that fit into SOME of the things that we ask our quarterbacks to do."

If I was super positive about it I probably wouldn't have read it like that.

I'm trying to visualize sandlot football. If defenses are worried about a running threat at QB and how to contain Jefferson, Addison should feast.

LOL re: Kyler being a Viking fan growing up...

I was picturing "oh he must be a Moss fan growing up"

Thought when he said he "cried real tears" he must have been thinking of the Atlanta game

Then he said "when Brett through that int"

I laughed and looked up his age...he was born in 97 ha!

so funny, he was never even a fan when we were good

I also think we'll get a ton of receiving yards out of our RB's this year.

Yeah skeptical but intrigued is a good way to put it.

I expect him to look like one of those little shriner cars in a parade, with the dude’s head sticking out the top, weaving in and out of the other little shriner cars.

Who knows. Maybe he’ll force KOC into changing up his play calling - or disregard it at times in a positive way - to make it actually work better.

All this still comes down to crunchtime and playoff relevance … and Murray hasnt looked particularly strong in the nfl in that regard. Not that I’ve watched him a lot. 0-1 in playoff games. 13 come from behind wins (right in between Darnold’s 14 and D Jones’ 12) is something not nothing.

I’m skeptical but nobody knows how this is one year rental is going to work, most of all me.

We couldn't sign him for over one year or we would have had to pay some of his salary. No tag means he is betting on himself to get a new contract----if he plays really well it could still be with the Vikes.

Everybody understands that.

But, but, but,

Given what just happened with Jones and Darnold, and that Murray is already scoping out potential buyers in 2027 ... the 'if he plays really well it could still be with the Vikes' is far from given (nice use of the neuter 'it' by the way).

The bottom line for me, not for everybody, is that the one year has big advantages for our situation right now ... but not necessarily if Murray kills it. (which I actually expect on certain plays and maybe for stretches of games but overall???)

Both Murray and KOC teams have shown a propensity for regular season success and playoff contention nincompoopness.

Looking forward to how it plays out.
