Phil can't handle being challenged (and notice he's always the first to run and post about a transaction). He says the DL is fine but questioning the DL experience (outside of Redmond's talent) is "attacking" them

His take on the snap count thing was sooo off. It's like he didn't even read the post (not a surprise to those who are versed in his posts).

Oh, "attacking" the backup QB! The horror! Because he says JJM and the DL "both seem fine".

After years of backing Kwesi, Phil's take is he is "long gone". Must be nice to blow off years of defending a GM with a mere two words.

What were Redmonds stats last year? You need long gone Kwesi to prove what? Allen and Hargrove $$? They both signed for enough where there isn’t much left on those payments.

You lost the JJ argument.

Without Kwesi around your losing your main bitch deflection. lol. My guy? I was hoping he would make good moves compared to you bitching 24/7 so it does make it hard for you to reason. Similar to you bitching about JJ even though he still is a reasonably priced number two.

Trying to decipher your post...

For the THIRD time I am fine with Redmond. WOW! But like it or not, most all the DL is inexperienced as opposed to you saying "fine".

JJ? Where did Justin Jefferson enter into this? What argument? Where did I say he was a #2?

Nice deflection (thanks for copying the word) on your snowflake remark that I was attacking the DL and you incessantly defending Kwesi after the fact for years.

Wrong JJ. You know you were talking about McCarthy all day. Jefferson is the 2nd string QB?

I am not deflecting. My point for IDL was Redmond all along. You deflected by saying the two rookies starting. lol. Then Kwesi and Dawkins snaps. Your posts are the definition of deflection.

So you meant JJM, got it.

Ignoring your initial mush... your actual point "all along" was the DL is fine. My point is, outside Redmond (for the FOURTH time), the DL is a questionmark.

lol. 1) Your point originally never mentioned Redmond. 2) If it is as bad as you say why haven’t they signed another? 3) They have $$$ to sign a guy yet or after cuts 4) you have zero inkling how good or bad the rookies are.
Exactly why I said it was fine.

I think the O'Connell offense was exposed in 24 (Det & LAR) games. Perhaps the addition of Frank Smith to the coaching staff could help. But in the end O'Connell has to lean more into the run game which I simply don't think is in his DNA.

Defensively, I worry about the young IDL. Hargrave and Allen may have been lacking but they absorbed about 1300 snaps between the two. Doubt Orange and Banks can achieve this (being rookies) and the depth behind them is not great.

IDL depth shouldn't be an issue. Still have Redmond, Ingram-Dawkins, and Rodriguez. Redmond was probably our best lineman last year and the other 2 were just as effective as the 2025 FA which is why they sent them packing.

There is no way you know that. Almost all the DL are questionmarks due to lack of playing time, being platoon guys, specialists, and having two rookies. For example, Ingram-Dawkins had 250 snaps. For perspective Thielen had 183.

And the way you wrote your posts insinuates Banks and Orange will start.

DL is the biggest unknown position on the team. Redmond is the only player on the DL one can point to and say yeah we have to keep that guy.

So Phil, my initial post never mentioned Redmond?

Here it is. Shall I bold the Redmond part for you?

Bill had the original post not you. You idiot. Keep town crying.

Again the initial post didn’t include Redmond. You replied to me but the original post was Bill Jandro. Again you are an idiot.

Nah. You didn’t have the original post. You were confused.

Your counter point is Kwesi and rookies starting which you don’t know for sure. lol. Deflection central.

You just said "1) Your point originally never mentioned Redmond."

I clearly refuted that. See above.

And now you mention Bill Jandro's original post!

And I didn't mention rookies starting except once by saying your post was written to insinuate that was the case. Post #3544.

LOL, so slippery but I got you. It's sad you keep making up things re my posts but I will continue to call BS every time I see them.

Stop your fixation on Kwesi.

I said the DL is inexperienced. That is all but a fact.

You said the DL is not an issue. That is an opinion.

Bottomline, the DL is largely unknown yet intriguing. More intriguing than last year.

- Redmond looks like a keeper, at times last year I wondered if they would try and extend him early.

- Didn't automatically buy the doctors timetable regarding Banks so it's cool he is already on the field. Beyond that, my impression of Banks was you can't draw up a better 3-4 DE, yet outside of a few splash plays the collegiate production wasn't there. Sort of like Dwayne Rudd but with injuries. Conversely, you can't teach a lot of the things Banks brings to the table and this is a new era for him.

- Doubling up on the DL with Orange as the big fatty looked great on draft day.

- I-D and LDR are equally in the mix. Don't know of anyone else projected to vie for a starting spot.

Excluding Redmond, two of the other four will need to at least show promise of being consistent solid starters otherwise it's back to the well next year.

Agree. A lot to like about the "potential" of the IDL but a lot ??'s there.

Best line I heard a pundit say about Banks: Q= "can you give me a comp?". A = "I really can't. There aren't many humans on the planet that size that moves like that but health is the main question".

Levi is a cool story but has, so far, shown why he was undrafted. Hopefully that turns into more than a feel good story.

The Wise Philosopher Kwesi spoke about LDR: “That’s scouting in its purest form. It's my one of my favorite things. We have a lot of nicknames for it, but Day 3, it's like, for the music lovers, it's like the B side of the tape. It’s not the headline single.”

I don't miss the days of KAM waxing poetic about his "champange problems". What a mess he was. Laughing how people would say things like "he finds gems in UDFA's". Ok, but lets concentrate on the first 5 rounds first

Yes. Like when he was always talking about working the margins. Well, he never knew how to work the rest of it.

Still, his waxing poetic work salad notwithstanding, I miss some of the quotes.

"What I was trying to say...in football a lot of times we tell ourselves that we’re there, that this is the year. There’s an oblong ball."

“The decision paralysis piece is potentially an issue.”

"...and that guy goes his zero dark LeBron mode kind of in the offseason..."

“I always say a coach that I would work with, I would work for."

If people are talking about your UDFA, you didn't have a good draft.

Weird....only one guy keeps talking about the old GM yet accuses everyone else of being fixated. No one wrote more posts about him than you.

$21 million in salary cap space after O'Neil extension. There will be cuts and adds......maybe/maybe not IDL.

There's Phil living to Kwesi's bitter end.

He literally wrote about and trumpting $21M in cap space... that was created... wait for it,,,, after Kwesi!

Now exaggerating after you ran out of deflections and you just can’t figure out what to post about after your years long fixation that you are now projecting on others? So we are fine at IDL since we do have cap space and we can sign one if needed after cuts? Lol
