PFF grades for O-Linemen are noisy at best, but...

Keegan ranked 4th by PFF grade among guards this preseason and Samac was the top graded center.

#Vikings claim Trevor Keegan off waiver. Guard from the University of Michigan. JJ McCarthy’s teammate.
Fun fact he is dating one of the Cavinder twins so I’m sure if he’s active for games we will see one or possibly both of them at US Bank stadium at some point.

With their offensive playmakers at wide receiver and running back, maybe even tight end, the Cowboys should value a system quarterback who is accurate and protects the ball like Sam Howell over someone like Joe Milton, who is more capable of making plays with his athleticism and superior arm strength. QB priority is getting ball to playmakers on time rather than a QB who is a playmaker.

Howell protects the ball?

We traded him for Wentz.

Moronic take be Ed Werder. Yikes

at this moment, the vikings roster on vikings.com has 53 players named, but no punter - thorson is listed as the only player on the practice squad and designated as 'international', meaning he doesn't count against the 16 allowed players on the ps....

they might have worked a deal out with thorson, to elevate him and activate him when needed for the green bay game....

Well we’ve released Bosmer … make room for some fused vertebrae for game. 1.

And Dillon Bell who was a gigantic OTA stud. Shocker.

He's no Kyries Hebert

Good one. Nobody is. Of course, that was 2002 before the computer. All we had were Tice cave paintings to go on.

Bell had social media crowning his ascension. Therefore, completely accurate.

What game are you playing Teasley?

I fully didn't expect Teasley to make any big moves this year.

And why would he?
He comes in to a roster that has been built by others that has some huge question marks.

Pretty sure he is going let things play out and begin "his" build in the offseason.

(in fact, if things fall apart this year it may actually be of benefit to a 1st year gm)

Backup Center (Jurgens) went on IL so it became an emergency:

Kevin Seifert
@SeifertESPN
·
1h
The Vikings were awarded two waiver claims, both on the offensive line:

C Nick Samac (Carolina)
G Trevor Keegan (Dallas)

Center depth seemed critical after Michael Jurgens went on short-term IR yesterday.

I already stated Jurgens is on IL, and with a return in 4 weeks. My point is at least claim somebody who has snapped just one snap in an NFL regular season game. Maybe they determined he was the best of the carnage, IDK.

One would think Thorson is protected, like right of first refusal, while on the PS because of his Int'l status.

Edit: A 20 second google search returned: An international player using the International Player Pathway (IPP) exemption on a practice squad is protected and cannot be signed to another team's active roster during that season.

So no issues there. Gives them flexibility for a bit of time. Bonus.

Why it's Phil again!

Projection anyone? It obviously floats your boat. Not surprised in the least. Rhubarb patch, nasty rash, and all.

Not to mention for years you lapped up Kwesi's injured acquisitions like a dog in summer so an IR designation for a neck injury is a mere flesh wound to you.

Milton is exactly who a "qb whisperer" should be working with and not one like Brosmer. Milton may need some help learning the game, but he has all the athletic tools to work with.

KOC as the QB whisperer is bullshit. What QB did he transform? Cousins had multiple years with big numbers when KOC came. Darnold came here after a year under Shanahan and was plugged into an offense that had a level of skill players he had never played with before. What did Mullens, Dobbs, JJ, Brosmer and Hall do under KOC? Good QB did well in KOC's system. QB that sucked, continued to suck.

Practice squad: Da’Veawn Armstead, Kahlef Hailassie, Bangally Kamara, Jahvaree Ritzie, and Cam’Ron Stewart highlight a group Tyler called “pretty solid.” GM Nolan Teasley’s Seattle connections brought in Marshall Lang, Michael Briscoe, and Trayvon Rudolph.

You miss the whole point. A QB whisperer is expected to improve QBs more than other coaches can. He did nothing to improve JJM, Brosmer, Dobbs, Mullens, and Hall.

KOC's QB development record is 1-5-1. The one 'win' is Darnold and that's being generous. The tie is Cousins.

That looks more like the record of a QB killer than a QB whisperer.

Yeah, I wonder about him considering Flores has 5 CBs and 5 safeties, but Metellus playing everywhere skews those numbers.
