BIG10 with another 'natty'!

SEC who? "PAC 10?" LMFAO

Was rooting for BUF - now just hope DEN loses. **** that scumbag Payton.

LOL on CHI losing, too! Their defense played amazing, but the great Caleb threw another 3 INT...

Caleb threw that incredible/insane TD then a few minutes later ends the game with a pick. Moore perhaps didn't run the route properly, fast, or whatever, but the pass looked like it may have been a bit wide regardless. IF he can minimize the errant throws he will be a top 10 QB... big if though.

That was the stuff of video games.

999 times out of 1000 nothing good happens when a qb runs backwards 20 yards

Have you heard of Fran Tarkenton?

It wasn't a scramble as much as it was a straight line 25-yard dropback.

it was a desperation heave, but one hell of a desperation heave....

It was a desperate situation largely defined by retreating 25 yards with three defenders closing in, but the pass itself was right on the money. As opposed to just throwing it up there like a hail mary. But I get your point too.

Perhaps (?) the play was similar to 'The Catch' in terms of defenders closing in, Montana rolling right, waiting, sideline closing in, waiting, then hitting Dwight Clark for the TD. Hold-your-breath high drama with how the play unfolded, but that pass was the very definition of cool as opposed to desperate.

cousins would have thrown the ball out of bounds....

And would have thrown the ball with his eyes closed

Not sure if it was mentioned but Charges on Addison were dropped.

There are rumors of the Niners and Bills interested in trading for him. His trade value should have went up to a second round pick plus now that the charges were dropped.

If that is/were true, I'd jump at that in a second. He's a walking timebomb for another suspension IMO. Whether or not he's punished, it's been 4 episodes in 2 years. He's not learning and he hasn't gotten the bag yet.

You guys are wrong. He wouldn't have thrown it out of bounds and his eyes would have been wide open when he threw to the checkdown back who would be tackled instantly.

Didn't you guys ever watch the games?

IMO no way will a team fork over a 2nd round pick for Addison. But if so, take it.

The 49ers and Bills? The Bills definitely need WRs, and every situation is different but would Buffalo to go the Vikings WR well again after the Diggs fiasco? The Bills gave up a 1st, 4th, 5th, and 6th for Diggs and a 7th. Two years into his contract they gave him a big $ 4-year extension. He was traded just halfway into that.

Actually I'd be surprised if the Vikings took anything less than a 2nd for Addison. Losing Addison would leave another big hole to fill that would cost a lot in free agency. Odds of hitting a better than average WR in the draft is about 1 out of 2 in the first round and about 1 out of 3 in the second. Right now Addison will only cost the Vikings $4,369,190 against the cap next year. How do you replace that?

You're probably right but if it were me as GM. I'd try and resign Nailor to anything around 6-7 a year max and take a guy on day 2.

Yes, and they just took a WR on Day 2. Then again, what are the odds of him panning put?

Need to put out a blanket disclaimer that any hopeful draft post is made with the full understanding that it is Qweasy drafting.

Draft a better TE, resign Nailor, and no worries.

Although the Vikings are in the deep negative for salary cap,
@TexansCap
shared some optimistic insight into Minnesota's situation.

The Vikings can actually free-up around $100M in cap space with just basic restructures.

"Look at [the Vikings] salary cap to cash ratio. That number is a very low number. It's one of the lowest in the league. So what that means is they've got a lot cash over cap. So that gives them a lot of flexibility... There's a lot of flexibility with using basic restructures... Minnesota has got a $100M in just basic restructure flexibility... That like gets you back into the positive at $28-29M on the right side of the cap space".

All that BS ultimately means is they can seek relief for 2026. Qweasy can spread out the cap hits via restructures, convert this or that to something else, try to get players to take less money, cut players, or utilize some combination of those things. Outside of a player taking less money or cutting players, it's all a long-term cap wash.

Keeping the contracts and with nobody taking less money, it boils down to how much cap Qweasy wants to pay via credit cards. Nothing new there. A non-starter.

I loved the old days when we front loaded our free agent deals so by the end the guys were a bargain instead of being overpriced as they aged out. Only disadvantage is I recall players wanting new deals more often as their old ones were quickly eclipsed by a rising salary cap and other teams signing similar value players to better deals then they had at that moment, even though they got a lot of their money right away.

I never understood trading for Theilen when you had plenty of wr's even w/o Addison for the first 3 games. Aaron Jones could been our 3rd wr if need be for that stretch. Or, run more 2 TE lineups.

Why didn't Felton gets some run? 3 rec all year? If we trade Addison giving that kid some snaps as the #3 would have helped for next season.

This regime is in over their heads and I expect things to continue going south.

it was a pr move as much as anything else - bring the boy home, and then he abandons us...cost us a 4th and $3.8mm...i hope his wife was happy - i doubt he brought her to pittsburgh with him....

PA has been a sanctimonious fake Christian for a long time and his show sucks anyway. He likes to listen to himself talk and wastes entire segments of his show talking in circles without saying anything. Him and Matt Birk together was really terrible talking down to people with their holy roller schtick....Good riddance.

Is there anyone out there dumb enough to still think that Sam Darnold cannot win a big game? I mean, anyone but Phil?
