Bill's fire Sean McDermott, opens up another landing spot for BFlo.

BFlo has 2 places to go, where he would have a good starting QB, Baltimore and Buffalo.

Hopefully both teams go a different direction.

2 things can be true. KOC was an idiot for not changing the gameplan to account for a crappy OLine. Seattle has done that and it reflects in Darnold's stats. They asked him to throw a meager 17 times for a 124 yards pretty much ensuring he didn't Titanic the team. That's good coaching period.

Playoff QB Rating Rankings:

1) Darnold
2) Love
3) Allen
4) Nix
5) Lawrence
6) Stafford

Who did he face of the top 6 defenses so far and what elements?

Who has McCarthy faced in the past two weeks?

Simple enough....what Pro Bowlers are on the Vikes Defense and how is their running game?
That is why Seattle is tough.....not Darnold.

Seattle is good because everything is working in concert.

Three Pro Bowl Defenders........0 to do with Sam. Top 3 defense....0 to do with Sam.

Same team as last year when they were 10-7.

Wrong again!

No they aren't. Dexter Lawrence wasn't on the team last year as an example.

I don't get the Sam hate.

Guy is a very good NFL QB at worst

He isn't perfect but he can make throws that our QB's can't even dream of...

Defenses respect that

I knew that there was no chance we'd keep him based on having a first round qb on a cheap contract waiting to play (and apparently we are still waiting for him to play)

But you can bet every single Viking player and coach wishes we had kept him

I, for one, am excited to see him win the Super Bowl

Looks like Addison is off the hook as trespassing charges were dropped according to a Daily Norseman article. https://www.dailynorseman.com/ I suspect that once the casino realized that they threw out someone with a lot of money to spend, they backtracked and made a quick apology.

No Sam hate here. Guy is a decent QB playing on a stacked team this year.

My issue was that we had a cash-strapped roster and it was going to cost a lot of money to keep him - and he showed that when we needed him most - he withered and turned into the Darnold we all knew before.

Our roster would not look like it did this year if we had kept him, so there is no fair/reasonable comparison to his performance this year vs last year on MN or this year on SEA. Besides, he's not on the roster and won't be.

I have NO issue with MN moving on from him, and I hope he is successful in SEA. Seems like a good guy.

SEC who? "PAC 10?" LMFAO

Was rooting for BUF - now just hope DEN loses. **** that scumbag Payton.

LOL on CHI losing, too! Their defense played amazing, but the great Caleb threw another 3 INT...

Caleb threw that incredible/insane TD then a few minutes later ends the game with a pick. Moore perhaps didn't run the route properly, fast, or whatever, but the pass looked like it may have been a bit wide regardless. IF he can minimize the errant throws he will be a top 10 QB... big if though.

Thats always been the knock on Caleb. The guy will make insane throws most humans can't even dream of. Then follow it up missing way wide on a basic crossing route. Watched quite a few of his games and if he can master the basics look out.

I thought the defender also played the ball poorly.

The Bears, as a 3 1/2 point underdog, should have gone for a 2 point conversion, for the win, after that TD.

It wasn't a scramble as much as it was a straight line 25-yard dropback.

It was a desperate situation largely defined by retreating 25 yards with three defenders closing in, but the pass itself was right on the money. As opposed to just throwing it up there like a hail mary. But I get your point too.

Perhaps (?) the play was similar to 'The Catch' in terms of defenders closing in, Montana rolling right, waiting, sideline closing in, waiting, then hitting Dwight Clark for the TD. Hold-your-breath high drama with how the play unfolded, but that pass was the very definition of cool as opposed to desperate.

There are rumors of the Niners and Bills interested in trading for him. His trade value should have went up to a second round pick plus now that the charges were dropped.
