Defense won that game. Period. Reichard was CLUTCH.

Turner is a stud.

Wentz was pretty brutal. 11-20. Took 3 sacks. Had a couple that should have been INT.

The missed 15-yard penalty on the ST play was a huge gift.

Caleb has lots of physical gifts and plays good sandlot football. I'm not nearly as excited about him as others are - especially in the media.

The Puke should have lost....to the Jets....

Welcome to MN Vikings fandom. We have had:

A pass happy coach
Bad OLine (injuries and talent)
Great WR room
Carrousel at QB

And we throw it almost nonstop

Fast Forward. We have:

A run happy coach who has changed his ways
A pretty decent OLine (assuming health)
A shitty RB room
Carrousel at QB

Obviously a bit of tongue in cheek there but dang! If KOC was really changing his stripes and is embracing the running game.......we should have drafted a RB in the first couple of rounds. Mason is out and Jones can't carry that kind of load anymore

I wanted us to move up and draft him. That said, Jayden Daniels needs to retire. He just jacked that elbow again on a broken (pretty innocent) play.

RG3 all over again...

Caused Tom Brady to say Oh Shit on life TV as they didn’t know why he was hurt at first

Outside of the injury, that was pretty damn funny. Not sure if someone, in his ear, was like 'whoa' or if he just realized it.

Jones will be out eventually but they just picked up Dallas and Ford plus Claiborne.

God, it so obnoxious, this Caleb Williams narrative, nationally. It's either:

A. What a warrior, he might be back next Monday
B. What a bitch. Screaming and crying, with a towel over his face, as he's carted off

Mason hopefully back in 3 weeks....RB is always a mash unit for every team.

There was another moment too with another Bear....when JJ was held by Stevenson and both were going full speed (it was a sure TD by JJ if not held)....then Stevenson went to the sideline with a hammy issue.

Stevenson was the CB that had the helmet to helmet not called (on A Jones) earlier....

He will probably win the karma is a b award.

With the QB excellence we are currently seeing, why would anyone want McCarthy given a shot ?

Sure McCarthy was surpassing Murray in scrimmages and stuff, but there is no guarantee a QB will improve by playing with the 1st string offense, playing with the same players.

I wouldn't exactly call 11-20 for 143 yds and a 77 rating QB excellence.

Marty is being sarcastic.

He's never been good at it.

Against a really tough defense like the Bears, we should be thankful and trust in our coaches, they seem to know what they're doing.

JJM is still on timeout unless both Wentz and Murray are injured.

A really tough defense that gave up 37 points the week before?

There was talk about B Flores defense blitzing a ton.

Early on it looked like he had the defense playing straight up and it confused the Bears and stop the run first?

It seemed like he was bringing 6-7 against the Packers. It seemed more zone blitzing to me against the Bears even after the first couple Bear drives.

Brian Flores blitzed Caleb Williams on 75% of his first half dropbacks, per Next Gen Stats.

It seemed like they were controlled blitzes to my untrained eye. More trying to contain Williams and make it hard for him to just escape the pocket and make plays. Therefore maybe it didnt look as "aggressive". I don’t know.

That is what I thought I saw most of the 1st quarter....it didn't seem as aggressive.

Dan La Batard was giving props to Dallas Turner on his podcast today. Said that Turner was the "best feeling" player last week after his performance against the Bears. It is good to see Turner finally get positive national media recognition.

For me, the Vikings have won two games that I did not expect them to win which is awesome. However, the Vikings have two games coming up against the Bucs and the Dolphins that they are expected to win. The Vikings need to win all the games that they are expected to win. This is one of the first things good teams do. Take care of business. It would really be a setback if they lose any of these two games. I have some concerns about the Bucs game because Tampa is not as bad as they played against the Browns.

Observation #10 in MIN win @ CHI - Ever notice the Soldier Field used to be a cow pasture under all their defensive-leaning teams? The had very tall grass to slow down other teams. Now, with an offensive-minded HC, suddenly, the grass is mowed low for speed.

Two injuries to monitor this week, per Kevin O'Connell....

P Brett Thorson (hamstring) will be further examined.

DL Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins (hip) is day to day.

A really tough defense that gave up 37 points the week before?

You have no film on a team the 1st week, the 1st week can be an anomaly, Carolinas' offense might be underrated, and the weather also played a role in week 2.

For now, it's hard to blame coaches that have produced an undefeated record.
