Status: online 		Todd, that is exactly my criteria for starting a QB for a playoff game, provided the 2026 Bears also make the playoffs:

If a QB led the team to victory on the road, against a team that also made the playoffs that same season, that QB should be leading the team in the playoffs.

IF you have 2 QBs that did that, than you have a tough decision to make, and have to look at other criteria.

When Max Brosmer makes a bigger splash than your #10 draft pick, you done ****ed up bad.

We should throw JJM into the bears game and kill two birds with one stone.

I can’t believe fn JJM still has a roster spot.

Bump his ass down to PS and see if he can even clear waivers

TBH, I would lose no sleep.

ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky said on "NFL Live" this summer that "the quarterback needs to let the star of the offense be Kevin O'Connell," and further explained his point in a telephone conversation.

Status: offline 		I find it odd how quickly people will give up on players. JJM has less than 1 healthy year's experience as an NFL QB. Many QB's take several years of NFL playing time to develop into competent NFL players, Sam Darnold, Brad Johnson, or Rich Gannon for example. As far as Murrey goes let's see him play a game or two before writing him off. The guy hasn't even played a full quarter yet. If he can't make plays and protect the football then sure it's reasonable to say he wont fit into this offence.

This has been covered ad nuaseum. There’s plenty of evidence, 3 years for JJM and 7 fot Murray … about where they are as players right now at this moment. Doesn’t mean they cant improve / change / develop / blow past expectations … or play as bad as their last performance / or even worse. Who knows.

I find it odd how hard it is for some fans to deal with criticism of their teams.

Not all criticism is fair. Some is.

Some fans take anything thats not positive or supportive as bitching and moaning. Not at all, not everybody is a rah-rah fan. I cant think of anybody that comes in here regularly (except Brad) thats not a hardcore fan of this team. A lot of the argument in here has absolutely nothing to do with that.

Some want to suspend judgement for more proof. Some want to call it the way they see it as they go along.

blah blah blah. the purple koolaiders vs the negative nellies have been going back and forth on this since emerging from the primordial soup.

And everybody along the spectrum thinking they are more reasonable than the other side.

None of us are reasonable IMO, or we wouldn’t be lifelong beat-down Vikings fans. Stupid sermon, No. 4,582.00341

Can’t wait for Sunday to see how Wentz does. He’s not THE GOAT, just a goat but he’s our goat:

Status: offline 		I still think JJ may yet turn out to one of those late blooming QBs who makes his mark in the NFL someday somewhere. But this preseason showed me this is not the year for him. No progression from last season. The rest of this team is ready for playoff contention. Not the time to struggle through another QB in training year.

Status: offline 		The team isn't waiting for Dim-Witted Hop-Along McCarthy, nor should they. Hop flunked his first year here, mainly due to non-attendance. Hop flunked his second year here for grades. And Hop most recently even flunked summer school his third year here, again for grades.

Hop also annually flunks for attitude. When the teacher is talking, Hop chimes in about how that lesson should instead be taught. Hop is happiest when he does what he is told not to do, even admitting he does things because he was told not to.

And Hop isn't even in school half the time because the nurse has sent him home so often.

Principal Wilf hopes Hop transfers.

Status: offline 		You know it's bad when a player's time with a team is expressed in healthy years. Apparently injured time doesn't count. The team needs to suck it up and give the keys back to Hop every time he returns from injury.

He's been with us for 5 years, and 2.4 healthy years. Yeah he had that shoulder thing but most all his injuries are the lower body type. He's got a lot of mileage and strength left in that arm... look how he just threw that pass well beyond that WR.


And give Hop time to develop using Rich Gannon as an example? That's reaching deep into the well as ole Rich started out 39 years ago! Drafted at age 22, his career year was 15 years later at age 37. Shirley you can't be serious

🏈 Blitzed on 24 of his 31 dropbacks (77%) going 12-21 passes with an INT and sack.
🏈 Pressured on 14 of 31 dropbacks (45%) going 3-10 with an INT and 2 sacks
🏈 1-7 with an INT on throws outside the pocket

The Bears scored just 3 points in the loss to the Vikings after putting up 59 points in week 1.
