But, the ones where I agreed with the Harmon report, I believe almost all of those were right.

IOW, the Harmon report was QUITE accurate the 1st week, I shouldn't have disagreed with it AT ALL.

I am going to pick the Colts this week, hope that I continue to be innaccurate.  I'm even using the score from the Harmon report.

The Vikes are in trouble if they have to play catchup, and you'd think the Colts would also be in trouble, but the Colts CAN comeback.  IF the Colts make a comeback, I'm guessing they'll keep going to Marvin Harrison, and that Harrison will prove unstoppable.  Then, next week the Vikes get WR Steve Smith coming off of suspension, and he too will also be more than the Viking 2ndary can handle.

Status: online 		I think you're probably right John, it's going to be tough to get 8 wins out of that schedule.

Although, I think Vikes COULD win at Tennesse and Jax, and I also think they COULD win at home against GB and the NY Giants.

BUT, I'm predicting the Vikes get a lift THIS week with Gus, meaning some early points.  The energized Vikes will make some plays, BUT lose this game in the end as Delhomme pulls it out in the clutch.

Status: offline 		There are about 4 games that they could win so perhaps you give them 1 more win.  I am hesitant to give them 2 or more of those games because I expect Gus to wear down as the season goes on and I don't see how going back to Jackson can help

Status: online 		This week vs CAR is no gimmie either.  I can see a scenario where Gus is a little too over-hyped and over-throws a few balls that gets picked or tries to force the ball into some tight places that he shouldn't to subconsciously try to validate the claim that TJack wasn't hitting those downfield plays that were there.

Not that I'd like turnovers from our offense, but I really believe that our defense should be good enough to keep us in a game if that happens.  I'd live with the occasional pick if it meant that we actually open up the O a little and throw dowfield.

Status: online 		I change my mind on HOW the Vikes will lose to Carolina on Sunday.

I don't think it will be Delhomme pulling it out, rather I think the Vikes will have a chance to win, and Frerotte will throw an interception on a play where only the defender can get the ball, one that looks terrible, sort of like the one Jackson threw at GB.  Kind of like the INT Frerotte threw against Pittsburgh in the preseason.

If we don't turn things around Sunday I will pulling for a losing season, a new HC, and a good draft pick. I can't take much more of Bards ineptness. This offense sux....
Heres to hoping a new coach can implement a system that can be learned in less than 3 seasons.

Of course last year's records don't mean that much.

Also, where you play the games is important and the condition of the team.

Week 1 - Rodgers first start in the Post-Favre era
Week 2 - banged up Colts team
Week 3 - tough team but game is at home
Week 4 - a team with no passing game
Week 5 - tough game on road against team with very good passing game
Week 6 - pushover
Week 7 - tough game but Bears don't pass well
Week 9 - home game but we do have to face Johnson
Week 10 - tough team with good passing game but at home
Week 11 - aging team but on the road
Week 12 - Jags were good last year, not this year
Week 13 - home game against poor passing team
Week 14 - pushover
Week 15 - road game against top WRs in the NFl
Week 16 - home game against rookie QB and bad team
Week 17 - defending champs in our house but they may want some payback

Normally I would count the bold games as losses and 50% of the italicized games as losses.

But with this passing offense...

Maybe the Giants wont have anything to play for and rest their starters.

Its a one game approach, but JC you break it down well, teams that pass it well present a huge challenge, teams that run it well we match up favorably.

Carolina prefers to run it, but they have the ability to beat you through the air. 

The defense has played well, except for giving up the big play, stop those and we might be 2-0.

0-0 it starts on Sunday, the defense must shut Carolina down and hold them to ten points or less.  Its all about the defense and HOPE the offense gets it going.  Special teams needs to make up for the Packer game and get back to even, be the difference on the winning side.

With the Eagles and Cowboys playing so well the last game for the Giants will most likely be one they need either for the division, wild card, or at least some type of HFA.

We will see how Eli does the next couple of weeks to see if he really has made the transition into solid starter who is consistent.

I will predict Gus will fall on his face, like every qb Bard has started and pass for about 160 yards against Carolina. The offense usual dismal showing will be masked by a steller performance from the defense and special teams. Each scoring a TD and the offense mustering 3-4 FG's. Vikes win 23-17.

However, the Bard offense will lull everyone to sleep ( being AD is dinged) and we'll be exactly back where we started. I think this is a mistake going to Gus. Jackson has been the only qb that has been able to run this backwards redneck f'up offense and by running Gus out there and having him flounder will just further point the middle finger at Bards inept skills as a coach.

The only possibility of turning this season around is for Bard to have a life threatening experience causing him to loosen up and take chances and most of all play to win.

Bard should go skydiving or bunge jumping early Sunday morning. Perhaps that would further push the message Zigi delivered that he needs to dratically show this offense has more to it than what we've witnessed the last 34 games. Playing not to lose 9 times out of 10 will result in a loss and your team and qb become completely deflated because their coach crawled under a rock rather than driving the stake thru the heart of the opponent.

I was so close on this, it would have been 24-10 if the refs hadn't stolen that TD from us and forced us to settle for a field goal.
