Not bad but what about Lil John's picks?

Are you going for two wins in a row?

Here his are:

Houston at Buffalo - TEXANS
Cleveland at Chicago - BEARS
Seattle at Dallas     -COWBOYS
St. Louis at Detroit  - ICKKKKK (RAMS)
Denver at Baltimore  - BRONCOS
San Francisco at Indianapolis - COLTS
Miami at NY Jets      - JETS
NY Giants at Philadelphia     - EAGLES
Jacksonville at Tennessee      - JAGUARS
Oakland at San Diego      - CHARGERS
Carolina at Arizona      - CARDINALS
Minnesota at Green Bay  -VIKINGS

Atlanta at New Orleans - SAINTS

He picked the Eagles instead of the Giants and he picked the Broncos instead of the Ravens.

Looks like we might tie this week - that means trash duties come down to MNF total points!

Sorry, but I gotta do it ....
I think a couple others touched on it today.
GB needs this game a lot worse than we do.
Seeing Jennings interviewed today only re-inforced what I'm afraid of, it IS the Packer SuperBowl.
I think we are looking forward to the bye week and once we fall behind early, start shutting it down.
I want to be wrong on all of this, but I fear I am not.
Turns into a Favre-lovefest by the 4th quarter, all that is left is the final score. GB 34 Vikings 10.
But ... doesn't matter in the long run. We still win the division. We laugh last.

I can see a Denny or Burnsie team acting like this, but not a KA team.

Our team knows that this game gives us the division and I think the Allens,Petersons,Williams,Harvins of the team what this for Brett. You know Brett understands the significance of ending an opponents season week 8.

I am serious, this is our Super Bowl, we roll today and I believe this team will go all the way. We fall flat and we are just another one and done in a long line of one and done Viking teams since Bud retired.

Great call, Timbo.
I was trying to inspire.
We are 7-1 and have answered almosty every question.
Loving it.

Are these predictions made for money or just for pride?

If it's just for pride, I'm wondering what pride someone would have left after picking against their favorite team?

Vikings 41 pukers 0

After one of his TDs, Harvin uses the goal post to wipe his hiney.

If chili kicks that FG, I get the score exactly right. (It is not required to get the pukers score right because giving them any points might imply respect). Can someone throw me a parade!?!

Although, Harvin did not use the goal post, he used Charles Woodson.

Harvin made the Puke secondary look like the three stooges on that TD catch.  I could watch that all day.

Drivers' seat !

I don't think I lose any pride picking against the Vikes.  It's fun to make predictions.  Last week I had the EXACT score right.  This week, I overestimated the Packers, probably read and saw too much from the local media.  And I UNDERESTIMATED the Vikes.  I didn't think Berrian was going to play, and I think it was important having him in there.

Otherwise,

I think IF the Vikes win, it will be a pass to possible ROY, PERCY HARVIN.

The pass to Harvin was HUGE.  But the one to Berrian sealed it - and AP's run set THAT up.

I wonder when the first Detroit trap game warning will be issued.  There was so much pessimism on this board this week it wasn't worth reading.

Yep., me too ... I let my 48 years of "poor me" out in my prediction this week, expecting the worst.
Best feeling in the world to be dead wrong about the team you love. (in a good way)
I really didn't think we'd see that level of en-toooo-si-asm that was evident from the start.
We wanted it more than they did. Much more. What a great statement. I was wrong to doubt this bunch.

Fun is picking against your favorite team?

Are you the same person making those u tube videos of creative ways to smash your own nuts?

That is not fun in my book.

NO, the fun part is getting it RIGHT.

I could post everygame that the Vikes will win 59-0, and I might be right once in a great while.

Last week, against Pittsburgh, it was cool getting the score EXACTLY right, though I still didn't like the outcome.

This week, it was fun being proven WRONG.  I LOVED it !  I wish they would prove me wrong EVERY time I pick against them.

I see most everyone in the national media is picking the pukes to win this game. The Vikings are better in almost every position so I don't see this game being as close as most think. We will pull away in the 2nd half and win by 10 points.

Do you guys mind if I pat myself on the back?

We pulled away in the first half and let them back in it in the second half.  We did win by more than 10 though...so pat away!

I'm happy to pat the back of someone who predicted a win. Fun game, weren't it?

Yes indeedy, Lars. And I posted that I loved your enthusiasm.

It was posts like yours and a handful of others that gave me more optimism. I had started to slip into the thinking that we weren't going to beat the Packers at home.

Glad it helped - I was not trying to be a cheerleader, but rather trying to keep it real.  The media reports leading up to this game were a bunch of BS about how Rodgers was goign to provie himself and crap like that.  Did they somehow take Favre off our roster?  Fix their OL?  Get a running game?  Contain Harvin?  WTFE, media.

The hard part is trying to be objective and calling it how you see it. I wished we had beaten the Steelers last week but I just didn't think it would happen so I picked them to win. Doesn't mean I like it. Sometimes it stinks being right.
