People are down on Berrian. He's my MIP this year.

Willing to put a number on it. 12TD's (5 higher than his career high)

Willing to put a 24 or a 40 on it if anyone is interested. X1

Gladly.  Although I probably won't hold you to the bet once I've won.

BB is half a step above done IMHO.

If I have to send you a 40-spot, it ain't the end of the world Todd.

But I would always prefer a gentleman's bet.

Camarillo will lead the team in receptions.

If Camarillo has more catches than Harvin it will not be a good year. You want the more dangerous WR to get a lot more catches!

We can do a gentleman's bet, or a sig bet, no problem.

I'll just leave the bet open for someone that wants to put a little something on it.

The Bet: Berrian scores 12 or more TD's this year.
The stakes: 1 24 or 1 40 oz of the winners choice.

Harvin will get more touches if he stays healthy. He will be used in many ways. Without Rice on the field he will attract a lot more attention though and Camarillo will get more catches.

I'm going to agree with Vikingsfan7.  His won-loss projections seem about right.  I think after 7 weeks and losing two in a row to the Packers and Patriots the Vikings right the ship.  They will be completely counted out (as they are now) people will be saying Brett is washed up and done (as will Danimal) but will run the table after that.  Is 12-4 too much to believe?  I still think by that point 12-4 may not be good enough to win the division.  Green Bay will be good this year and Rogers may have a monster year.  Getting a home WC game and then going on the road throughout the rest of the playoffs as an underdog (How is a 12-4 team an underdog?), will meet Green Bay in the Divisional round at Lame Blow field.  It is here that Brett Favre who will have a good...but not great season, will have the best game of the year and the Vikings blow away the Packers and march back into the NFCCG.  Knowing Brett is a little dinged up, Peterson and the OLine dominate this game gaining 250 yards on the ground and charge their way to the Super Bowl.  Thats as far as I wish to take my delusional thought process.

Harvin gets more touches because he will see the ball on run plays, screen passes, maybe run the wild cat, kick off returns etc...If Harvin has 70 catches and Camarillo gets 70 cathches I think thats a pretty good spread.  I have a feeling Camarillo is going to play a very important part in this offense....thats with and without Rice in the line up.

I'm not seeing a win in the cards tonight.  Major doubt whether Favre is completelty healthy and ready.  He played about 30 seconds in pre-season and is hobbling around on an ankle that should have a tap installed on it to drain junk out.  Too many question marks on offensive line and defensive secondary.  Hostile, charged atmosphere in N.O.

I will bet taglines without anyone that Camarillo will NOT be the leading Vikings WR this year!

Folks, he is a mediocre WR. Desperation can sometimes make someone look better than they really are (see any nightclub at 2AM). But Camarillo is not a starting WR on any good team.

I don't think he will be the leading WR either.

But I do think he will be a favorite 3rd down option.

In 98 the Vikings lost to Atlanta in NFCC and then they beat them opening game in 99. I think we see same results tonight against the Saints

This will be a difficult game to win. There are a lot of reasons, short handed in the secondary, offensive line is not in tact or at least not in sync, NO will be hyped and up for this as defending champions, and openers on the road are a tough assignment.

The good news is that we have a good football team, this will not be the blowout that I hear being talked about on ESPN. The Vikings can win this game, but I am not expecting it. What I would like to see is a tough, hard fought game. I'd like to see us get the running game going, AD over the 100 yard mark and get the young kid in for some hard pounding. this score could go either way, but I'm guessing it's in the 30-27 area, probably the Saints, but it could easily be the Vikings if they play inspired. Make no mistake about it, this is a tough start to a pretty tough schedule. The Vikings have the people to have a successful season, 11-5 or 12-4, they just need to build each week and get some confidence. It starts today with a solidly played game, no need to cry about what we don't have, go out there and compete with the guys we do have and make it work!

I am a bit amazed by the lack of confidence of some Viking fans. Our squad is pretty much the same squad that kicked NO ass in every area but turnovers a few months ago.

I'm disgusted at people believing the packer hype. What trash! Pull out video of last year and believe what you see! Screw that the pack did in preseason- it means nothing. They are team that gave up 51 points to the cards who got spanked by the saints. Don't believe the media B.S.

Tonight, We dat!

BTW- We will have HFA this year I won't predict the exact record- but we'll get whatever we need to have it. The pack will be a fringe playoff team.

It's awful. Every writer and tv analyst this side of the border is going with the Packers as well.

I predict that Drew Brees' choreographed "Who Dat" chant after the coin toss will collapse into an unintelligible mish-mash of sound, followed by the fans just screaming and whistling to cover the fact that they blew their lines.

The Pack have tearing teams up in preseason since Rodgers became the starter. I remember last season they were up 38-10 @Arizona at the half. They beat Arizona 33-7 in another late season exhibition match in week 17. We all know what happened in the WC game.

Look back at these predictions from last season and see the trendy pick that was the Atlanta Falcons. Actually only one "expert" had the Saints winning the NFC South and about 4 had them making it as a WC.

I predict AD is gonna have a monster game. I'm talking 200+ yards 3TDs. I still think he was hurt more then he let on during the Ravens game last year and some of people forgot what the man can do.

I have the same sneaky feeling, Justin. But, I don't think he's going to be able to do that on his own.

The O-Line has to be loaded for bear tonight. And I'd like to see a good deal of off-tackle running to take some pressure off of Sullivan.

The loss of Sidney Rice is a huge factor. On top of that, Favre started out real slowly last year and took a few weeks to crank it up. If he starts out slowly tonight we will be down 17 before you blink

The Saints will come out of the tunnel on fire. But that fire is built on emotion that fades. If they don't put up 10 points or so in the 1st quarter we will have withstood their storm and will start coming for them. If the game is close at half, we win.
