My three predictions for this year;
1) Toby G gets a lot of work early as AD is brought in. However a majority of Viking fans realize that the offense actually runs better with Toby than Adrian becasue of his versatility and scream for him to be traded.

2) The Viking team is improved, we win the ones we are supposed to, but can hang with the big boys and finish 8-8. Many fans still want Frazier fired becasue the team is boring.

3) Russell Wilson has the best rookie year in the League but Luck edges his out. Mostly because the media only learns late in the year that Seattle exists.

Packers and Eagles seem to be the most talented teams.
Cowboys are my darkhorse.

Gerhart rushes for 100 yards today.

I would bet the house against the Eagles winning the NFC

Vick does not learn from his mistakes. He is either incredibly stubborn or just not that bright at QB

Also, the Eagles still are using an offensive line coach at DC

If I had to guess right now, I might take a couple surprise teams

Saints - Ravens

That's why I said talented. Vick hasn't proven that he can healthy. I really like their roster though.

Packers- Ravens/Patriots I 'm thinking.

Almost EVERY game turned out this Sunday how I expected, the 2 that surprised me were Washington beating NO, and Atlanta convincingly winning at KC.

I guess Atlanta is as good as some here were saying, and will probably finish higher than the 9-7 I had them at. Washington might be better than I thought and I likely over-rated the Saints.

Things are lining up right for my prediction of Broncos over the Bears in the SB (both had convincing home wins, although Denvers' was against a more formidable team), but A LOT of games yet to go.

The Vikes COULD go up 2 games on the Packers this next week, hopefully the Bears can make that happen. I think the Packers will probably win the Thursday night game, but you never know. Hopefully the Bears give them a physical pounding.

The packers get two home games against tough opponents to start the season. Tough for me to root for the whiners. Tougher to root for the pack. Thursday? Go packers! Beat da bears.

Things are lining up right for your predictions after one week? There's a good chance neither of those teams makes the playoffs, even with week one wins.

I heard a stat over the radio that said that 37 of the 46 SB winners won the 1st week, and I would bet most of the others were in close games the 1st week.

I don't know why you would say there is a good chance neither team makes the playoffs when the Broncos convincingly beat a playoff team from last year, and the Bears had a lopsided home win. If they had both LOST by good margins, then I think it would right to say there's a good chance they won't make the playoffs, but I find your statement nonsensical.

I probably just should have stated that both teams appear to be healthy and are getting good QB play from the get go. It is VERY hard to predict before the season starts which 2 teams will be in the SB any given year.

Although I think it's quite an advantage to know the 1st week results, I would like to see anybody that is evaluating or making fun of my predictions, have some balls and post their predictions this week on who they think will be in the SB, and who will win the SB.

And if they want to go ahead and post how they think the divisions will shake up, along with the playoffs, that would be just fine. See how EASY it really is

Just did a little research, and the stat I posted earlier was correct, of the 46 SB winners, 38 of them won the 1st week of the regular season.

Only 8 of the 46 lost their 1st game, and 7 of the 8 were on the road.

The ONLY SB winner that lost at home the 1st week was Tampa Bay in 2002, losing at home in OT to New Orleans.

Just 2 of the 46 SB winners lost in lopsided losses on the road in their 1st regular season game. One was Dallas (1983, losing 16-35 at Wash) that had won the SB the year before, and the other was New England (2003 losing 0-31 at Buffalo), and they had won the Super Bowl 2 years before.

I don't know about that....I think Toby G is a decent backup running back and I am willing to bet, unless someone wants to sign him as a starter...he will be in Minnesota for quite awhile. JMO. See Jimmy K!

Who cares, that's not the point I was making.

You were using game 1 wins to justify your season ending prediction. As such, teams that win their first game but don't make it to the Super Bowl is exactly on point.

Not much for beginning of the year predictions. I'd say San Fran and Baltimore if pressed. But to me the NFL season is all about just getting in to the playoffs. Rarely does the "best" regular season team win the Super Bowl. You can be a relatively bad team all year, but make the end and depending on injuries and if you get hot, you can still win a ring.
