Interesting story about Jeff Dubay in the Strib this morning. I had heard him say that going through an awful divorce was one of the reasons he experimented with crack cocaine, but I never knew that his wife left him for his own brother! How sad and horrifying. He ended up losing his entire family except for one sister.

I've been listening to Judd and Dubay quite a bit recently because I can't take KFAN anymore. I'm enjoying Dubay's takes on things again because he has strong opinions about pretty much everything, but it's exhausting to listen to him. He talks so fast and with such emotion behind everything (whether he's ticked or happy) that he wears out his listeners. He says he gets e-mails all the time telling him to slow down, and he's trying, but it's just in his nature to try to squeeze 8000 words into any free minute.

What scum his brother is.

Never mind ....

Did you steal your brothers wife?

What's that freakin word underline thing?

No. I read the last paragraph and your response and then asked you to explain it to me. Then I went back and read the first paragraph - glad I caught it without moving on.

Does anyone work in graphic design?

Just curious if I got a deal or not.

Had a logo made up, that I can't wait to share as Vikings fans will love it...and it cost me $200 for the design and the files that go with it for use on signage etc...

I had a logo designed for me, along with the files, for about $60 - - - - but it was a good friend of mine and she probably gave me a good deal.

And I should add that I mostly designed it myself and she just took my idea and made it work.

Damn...I thought I was getting a deal through a friend of a friend.

To me it's worth it b/c it's awesome but I thought it would be pricey and when he said $200 it seemed like a deal.

Not that it was overly complicated or anything...he worked a half dozen designs before we got to something we liked. That I couldn't have fumbled together on my best day.

It's probably a good deal. The web site I checked out first is: http://99designs.com/

... and their lowest price is $299. The cool thing about that is that you put out what you need and you get a bunch of people throwing design ideas at you. Kind of cool.

That would have been cool.

In the end though I guess it doesn't matter as long as I am happy with the final results.

As soon as I pay the guy and own it and a few other things fall into place I will share it.

Trekscottgeek,

It's tough to look at your moniker and avatar and see you disparage space exploration. Highly illogical.

For the record, I did not disparage the Space Program.  I disparaged the fact that our space program spends billions to send a robot to Mars, when we have starving children on the streets of our very country.  Where is the logic in that?  Feed the kids first.  then find a way send robots to Mars.

I need some help for my money championship game....at my flex spot pick ONE from.....Colston @ Car, Amendola @ Bal, Ivory vs CLE, Mendenhall @ Sea.

Two wide receivers and two running back to choose from.

Mendenhall came up huge for me last week but now he plays AT Seattle.
Colston put up big numbers against them last time plus last week...but he is SO inconsistant.
Ivory only plays on running downs. But cleveland isn't putting up a lot of points so the Jets might keep it on the ground. (THE SAFE PLAY)
Amendola had a big game last week with 14 targets, not a great matchup. Brady gets two of his rookie wide receivers back this week.

I'd play Amendola. It's almost a toss-up between him and Colston but Amendola has the better matchup. Ivory and Mendenhall shouldn't even be in the discussion.

I wouldn't give ANY qb $30-50+ mil unless that QB had won me a Super Bowl. Did you win a Super Bowl on your rookie deal? Yes? Great! Here's your hugenormous contract. F it let's just run victory laps and love life. No? Good luck. Next!

After waiting all year for a turkey dinner and having to deal with another bland english dinner at the in laws my wife and I decided to do one up for ourselves yesterday.

Cajun turkey with cream cheese mash, roasties, yorkshire pudding, maple brussel sprouts and jalapeno/apple stuffing.

Potatoes cooked on their own in a hot oven in oil. If you do it right they come out super crispy.

Simply cream cheese mixed into the potatoes for flavor and texture.

Nothing better. Healthier...probably.

Trust me, you're going to want to try it this way. You'll never look back.
