The group here should pool our expertise and build something, that is necessary. I nominate Duane leader of the gonna do gang, now Duane let me know what we are gonna do?

Fargo:

115k for a house in California? Was this 1972? Was it a tin shed in the desert?

My Goodness I had a buddy in San Jose that was renting a 1200 foot rambler in the early 90's, because to buy that house would have set him back 750 large.

Toby, can you transfer?

The same thing is happening to our whole company, every plant so transferring would just put me at the bottom of the totem pole so to speak.  Right now my seniority is saving me, weee!

Hey Cady, chances are I'll be moving to Waconia with the In-Laws for a bit if I lose my job so my house will be for sale at that point.  I'll make sure to keep you in mind if that happens.

Oh, for everyone on the board who wants to help me.  Go buy a Polaris or Artic Cat snowmobile/ATV, go buy a Harley, go buy a John Deere, go buy most any type of vehicle that we make parts for so our orders start picking up again.

If I unload the estate in LP, for anything near what it was appraised 4 years ago, I would be happy to consider that opportunity. Figure I am down a 100K in value or 40%.

Yeah, luckily the house values around here haven't really dropped but I don't see them selling much either.  LOL

Or go around trashing existing ones they need parts to get them fixed...

That would help a little but we need them building new machines to really help.

Darn. I wish I had waited the half hour for Toby's response. I just did a WHOLE lot of damage to my neighbor's property ...

Speaking of coincidence - I just figured out a place to plant those replications of Brad H.'s fingerprints that I've been saving.

Hope you didn't use a shovel because everyone would know it's a frame job if you did.

I guess this is as good of a place to post this.

Ian started a NCAA basketball bracket on ESPN and posted the link in the Timberwolves thread. For those that don't go there and would want to participate, here is the link and password

http://games.espn.go.com/tcmen/group?groupID=20985&entryID=259642

minnesota (all lower case letters)

I also put this in the Twins folder

I hate that there are things that are things and I'm way late to the party.

Mind you, IMO, what I am about to present is fairly lame. But since I found it a few days ago my wife is nuts for it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z47EUaIFrdQ

If you look at the number of hits in all the languages it seems like one of the most watched videos. IDK, I did a search and couldn't find a current list of most watched videos. Even youtube's most watched list I looked through had the top vid's with 12mil or so.

Anyway, the point of this is to see how many of you missed this, if any.

Just curious.

BTW, I've listened to all the versions and think the Brazilian one is the best.

We were talking about fast food restaurants a few weeks back and I came across this today...

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30038585/?pg=20#TDY_MH_DriveThru

The worst drive through meal in America.
Carl’s Jr. Double Six Dollar Burger
with Medium Natural Cut Fries and 32 oz Coke
2,618 calories
144 g fat (51.5 g saturated fat)
2,892 mg sodium
Of all the gut-growing, heart-stopping, life-threatening burgers in the fast food world, there is none whose damage to your general well-being is as catastrophic as this. Consider these heart-stopping comparisons: This meal has the caloric equivalent of 13 Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Donuts; the saturated fat equivalent of 52 strips of bacon; and the salt equivalent of seven and a half large orders of McDonald’s French fries!
Eat This Instead!
Famous Star
with Side Salad with Low Fat Balsamic Dressing and 32 oz Iced Tea
685 calories
38 g fat (10.5 g saturated fat)
1,520 mg sodium

If you have to put fast food in your system go with Subway's double meat turkey on wheat, fat free mayo and as many vegies as you like.   That's about the "best" you can get with FF.   It keeps you close for your intake if you are on a 40/40/20 eating system.

But yeah, that's outrageous.  It reminds me of the Simpsons "good morning burger".

We take eighteen ounces of sizzling ground beef, and soak it in rich,
creamery butter, then we top it off with bacon, ham, and a fried egg.
We call it the Good Morning Burger.

At the Heart Attack Grill in Chandler, AZ you can order a "Quadruple Bypass Burger" (>8000 calories) and get wheeled out in a wheelchair afterwards by a hot 'nurse'.  Oh, and they have fries deep-fried in real lard.

Okay, I have to ask because of DeLain's post. . .

Is there any discernable difference between Carl's Jr. and Hardees?  Because I've lived in a few different places here in the States, and I've seen a bunch of Hardee's around, but I don't ever recall seeing a Carl's Jr.  I know the logos are the same and everything, so are they essentially the same restaurant?

I think so.  They also have Roy Rodgers on the east coast, I'm pretty sure.  It's like Krystal and White Castle.
