Keep finding players to add on to that list with Suter. Further proof a gutting is needed.

Niskanen with a nasty cross check on Crosby's cranium. Game misconduct. What's the over/under on Ovi getting cracked?

Russo's article "Cheap shot or bad timing?". 😂

Come on man, you've been around way too long for a dumb question like that. Of course it was a cheap shot. Happens all the time in the playoffs. Down 2-0 in the series and their best guy has Reebok tatooed on his teeth? Yeah, that is "bad timing" the more i think about it.

I hate the Pens but will say ... They are amazing how they continue to play so hard and be so good even without their stars
Becoming the Patriots of hockey
Huge gut check by the Caps to get that win back

If I'm with the Wild, I'm hoping the Caps implode.
Because if they do, I go after Oshie like a dog on a bone.
Guy is tough as nails.
All he wants to do is win
And he knows how.
He's our missing link, IMO.

Yeap, no doubt in my mind that it wasn't premeditated. That being said it was dirty. Anytime you bring your stick up, 2 handed, that high, its dirty.

As you and i said, happens all the time this time of year.

Suter lover here
And agree completely with your assessment
Too cool for school
Too cool to advance in the playoffs
At this current pace of play, the guy who is willing to get after it the quickest, wins.
Rebounds and passes aren't calmly collected. Everything is frenetic at this point
We've got too many guys who never play at a frenetic pace.

Ding Ding Ding!

Isn't Kemps a FA? We would need to keep his 2 minutes of highlights off youtube so they don't take a chance.

Of all the great canadien hockey lore, their super series with the Russians in the early 70s is their proudest moment
If you ever get a chance watch it
You'll never think of Canada the same way again

First, get pissed that Russia is getting better at hockey than you are
Then, invite them to a friendly tournament
Agree to some terms like allowing them some home games, but do it bitching the whole time
Because, you know, they should just be happy they GET to play you
Series starts, treat them like little snotty cousins, laugh at their gear, laugh at their faces, etc

Then get your asses handed to you in a couple straight
Probably the greatest FU two games in sports history ...
Then have everyone in the country turn on you, start making excuses about why it's happening .. But most importantly, turn it from hockey into WAR
The last games were ridiculous, you had players openly threatening coaches players and refs.
Biggest decision was hey, let's take out that guy we can't stop. Don't play better defense, I'm saying TAKE HIM OUT
So Bobby Clarke decides he wants to be hero, and mid-game, sneaks up from behind on a rush, and Paul bunyans his already shaky ankle.
Instant national hero. They never apologize or back off it They truly think it was genius and deserved.
Whatever it takes to win a hockey game.
That's why it's so funny when they bitch about American goon hockey.
You remember how they play. Our kids never forget games they play against Canadiens
They are the most polite dirty bastards in the game.

Then of course he went on to be the driving force behind the Broad Street Bullies
Couldn't win hockey games
But win a Cup thru intimidation. Yay you.

IMO It wasn't even a penalty much less a 5 and a game! What a joke. NHL officials should be apologizing to him today. Crosby was out of balance and leaning low on that play. I saw no intent in fact I really believe he tried to avoid the contact. I have no horse in the race, that is just how I saw it.

What I saw too
Sounds funny, but his head came into the stick
Like a defenseman around the net in a must win game isn't going to put up his stick in defense. .....
It happened
No intent
I agree

I also didn't expect a penalty
No way it's a game

Any wild player gets that done to him, game goes on. I have no doubt.
St. Louis keeps sending guys to the hospital without penalty, yet people are now incensed?

Exactly what I saw too. Sindey was the one flying thru the crease out of control! If it happens to anybody other than "Princess Sindey" from Canada, they get the player off the ice and drop the puck. Instead, it's a 5 minute major and talk of suspension. Unless the clown show in Toronto wants to lose what little credibilty they have left, there should be nothing extra and they move on.

Wasn't that the same series where JP Parise went ballistic and all but attacked a ref with his stick??
