3-1 almost done with the 2nd. We just never played with as much speed or "want to" as the Preds are. And Rinne actually knows how to handle the puck behind the net.

Bingo
Speed and WANT TO

Nailed it.

It's like these other teams play a different game than we do.
Somethings not right.
No way we keep up with the speed and anger these teams are playing at.

The Oil are much better than I thought
The Ducks tried to beat them up last night .... Didn't work.
That series is going to get nasty times ten.

I do not like Ryan Kesler
Unless he is playing for the USA
But for all of Canada to be up in arms about how he plays
Is hilarious
He's the most Canadien Amercan of all time.
Will literally cut your throat to win a hockey game
And Canadiens are aghast
Give me a freaking break. Do we need to revisit your history?

Just like last night ...
One result I liked, one I didn't.

How come every team I like ... out-shoots the hell out of everyone .... and still loses?

I love it, the Blues throw everything but the kitchen sink at Rinne and get nothing while the Preds get a lucky bounce to go up 1-0.

Blues even up the series with a win in a rather boring typical Yeo style game.
I watched the first period of the Ducks and Oilers game and it looks like two decades worth of number one picks are finally paying off for the Oilers.
Sure would be nice to see the Wild get a top pick or two someday......seems all the teams still playing have a couple of star quality players.

Yet they and their fans are somehow cocky.

Agree my friend
They're not tough
They're not talented
They're not as good as they think they are.
Glad someone is finally bursting their bubble.

They have been winning with a hot goalie and puck luck, but that will only last so long.
Eventually you have to outplay the other team, and they aren't good enough to outplay the Preds.

Go Preds!!!!

I agree that "want to" is fair for our lack of "it" factor, but for me I'd term it a lack of urgency in the whole team, until it's too late.

I love Suter because his D is just so damn good. But his calm demeanor in our end that saves us time and again back there is the same thing that kills us Offensively; too much patience and lack of pace on shots, skating, and passing.

One simple solution is to get him off the freaking PP. His entries are terrible and the pace is way too lackadaisical.

Suter lover here
And agree completely with your assessment
Too cool for school
Too cool to advance in the playoffs
At this current pace of play, the guy who is willing to get after it the quickest, wins.
Rebounds and passes aren't calmly collected. Everything is frenetic at this point
We've got too many guys who never play at a frenetic pace.
