Another dirty hit by Kadri and the clowns on NBC saying it was a legal hit and shouldn't have been a penalty. Kadri takes out one of the NHL's biggest draws with dirty hit to the knee and only gets 2 minutes for tripping. How many times does that prick have to hit people like that before they do something about him? Have to admit there are times when I wish the old school goons were still around to take out the Kadri's of the league.

Happy to see Ov8 back out on the ice to start the 2nd period. And the clowns at NBC still doing nothing but making excuses for Kadri....

Turned that one into a war and it should have.
You wonder sometimes if theres still that respect aspect in the league.
Kadri is an asshole. And should have his ass kicked at some point.
Loved how the Caps rallied around Ovi, they really didn't care for awhile about what time of year it is ... they wanted a piece of that MFer from that point on.
When you get a superstar like that, you know how your bread is buttered.
Every guy on that team knows why they have a chance every year to win it all.
And when they see a clown like that, try to take food off their table, they see red.
Easily could have ended his season, and his career. Luckily for Kadri ... he was trying to take out maybe the biggest bull in the barn.
Ovi is a horse, legendary stuff from people who play with him. It may be wrong, but the game still has rules. And one is you don't do stuff like that, to guys like him.
Justin Williams is the games Big Shot Rob. Always there, always burying game winners. Some guys just have a knack.
Oh, and ... the Bruins suck.

Rangers in 6 ........... got one right
Senators in 7 .......... still battling
Capitals in 5 ......... still battling
Penguins in 7 ......... only took 5

Blackhawks in 7 ...... not even close pal
Wild in 6 .............. not even close pal
Ducks in 6 ............. easier than I thought
Oilers in 6 ............... nailed another one

Capitals vs Penguins.
Another chapter in the yearly epic war these two wage.
I'm wrong every year, and I'm gonna go there again ...
Capitals in 6
__________

Senators vs Rangers
Amazing to hear Karlsson has been playing with heel fractures.
He makes their world turn.
Rangers have something going on. I'm pulling for King Henrik.
Rangers in 6
__________

Ducks vs Oilers
The Oil carry on for Canada, all others bow out.
Classic old skool vs NKotB match.
Ducks appear to be on a mission however.
Ducks in 7
________

Blues vs Predators
I will be shocked if this is even competitive.
May have been my anger affecting my judgement, but in Rd One I saw a GREAT Preds team and a crappy Blues club.
Preds will attack like we did, but they have finishers and assassins.
Predators in 5 ...... HOPEFULLY IN THREE
___________

I think the Pens take the Caps in 5. They are in their heads. The fans here already say it's over. It's pretty similar to Wild/Hawks.

Definitely some intriguing series. I'll go:

Habs (6)
Bruins (6)
Caps (5)
Pens (6)

Hawks (5)
Wild (6)
Ducks (5)
Sharks (7)

U-G-L-Y....very much like our hockey team.

I'll pick Pittsburgh over Anaheim for the Cup in hopes of continuing my horrible picking.

On the subject of how long the playoffs last - I have said for years that I don't think the early rounds should be best of seven. Best of five or even best of three. I know that means that in this case the Wild would have been out even sooner - but it seems to me these early rounds should go MUCH faster, building up momentum for the final showdown. For the final two teams, go with best of seven.

I haven't done the math but with with either scenario the Stanley Cup would be awarded while people still have a vision of what snow and ice looked like.

Well I hope they pound the poop out of them too!
And I want to see them run Allen every time they come within feet of the blue paint.

Me too, anything less than a 4-0 series sweep and I will be disappointed.

Expose the Wild's softness a 2nd time.

3-1 almost done with the 2nd. We just never played with as much speed or "want to" as the Preds are. And Rinne actually knows how to handle the puck behind the net.
