BTW- I see so much love for Tomlin on the Vikes threads and never understand it. The real guy we let slip through the cracks was McLellan, IMO. And it's not because of tonight. After the Calder Cup win and his rise, we should have done something. Babcock was smarter than us I guess.

4-0, and I thought we had goalie issues....LOL.

Yeap

When the play-by-play guy says "he had no idea where the puck was" it's no bueno.

Not sure a franchise has ever needed a comeback more than this one.
Go CAPS
Please.

Playing like warriors since they got their backs pushed to the wall.
2-0 ... halfway thru

Caps playing a great game so far. Holding the Pens to about 5 shots per period so far.

Capitals vs Penguins.
Another chapter in the yearly epic war these two wage.
I'm wrong every year, and I'm gonna go there again ...
Capitals in 6
__________

Senators vs Rangers
Amazing to hear Karlsson has been playing with heel fractures.
He makes their world turn.
Rangers have something going on. I'm pulling for King Henrik.
Rangers in 6
__________

Ducks vs Oilers
The Oil carry on for Canada, all others bow out. (well, except Ottawa )
Classic old skool vs NKotB match.
Ducks appear to be on a mission however.
Ducks in 7
________

Blues vs Predators
I will be shocked if this is even competitive.
May have been my anger affecting my judgement, but in Rd One I saw a GREAT Preds team and a crappy Blues club.
Preds will attack like we did, but they have finishers and assassins.
Predators in 5 ...... HOPEFULLY IN THREE

Sadly. the WILD looked liked that dominant Caps team at times, as well.

Couple what-should-be-classics coming up.
Game 7, Oil/Ducks and Game 7, Pens/Caps
Can't ask for any more than that.

I will say ... Crosby is coming off a concussion, and he takes probably the hardest hit he's ever taken ...
Pretty easy for a guy like that to tap out.
But ... he Gets up and finishes.
Why I love hockey and its players.

He hit the wall at just about full speed and was clearly feeling the effects. A couple of minutes later, he's making some crazy circus shot on goal. He might whine and moan a lot, but Crosby is one of the greats in his era. That being said, I was really impressed with the Caps last night. Those fellas are feeling the momentum shift their way, and that has to scare the Pens.

And did anyone else but me think the Pens were passing too much and looking for the perfect play?

That was scary the way he went into the wall, (with help from the goalie).

Staal went in like that at about 1/2 the speed and went to the hospital.

I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up with after-shock symptoms from that crash. It may not have looked like it affected him at the time, but his brain took a pretty good hit there for sure.

We (the Wild) need to go after Oshie in the offseason. The beat writers here in DC and saying that's it's pretty well known inside the room that he has changed the Caps culture. He's got a swagger that fuels that team. Make no mistake. Prior Caps teams would have went down 4-1 after what happened.

Silky hands, the best offensive defenseman in the game right now imo.
