Fun game again.

The Caps were the crisper team tonight. Much better passing, much better job looking for each other. Their goals looked like much higher % chances than Vegas'.

Vegas seemed a bit sloppy and looked to be trying to score 1 on 1 more.

Amazing game clinching save by Holtby.

That was a good game, for sure. I bet the town is officially hockey crazy at this point, huh? Do you think the success of the knights will increase the amount of youth hockey players and leagues in the area? I know nothing about Las Vegas or the demographics of the area.

I think so. The Knights organization and players have gotten very involved in youth hockey. Its really cool.

That is really cool. Especially in an area that is not really known as a hockey hotbed. Great way to increase youth involvement and interest.

I think they're very fortunate they got here before the Raiders. There will always be something special about them being our first Pro team. And being the only game in town gave them a huge head start on the fanbase.

I love both sports so I can totally relate to both sides. That being said, this is freaking hilarious and true.

The refs had to eventually call a trip.....
Knights only got one penalty on 4 trips in one shift!
The worst part is they called the wrong one....LOL.

Another fun game tonight. It wouldn't bother me one bit if this series goes the distance. This is the kind of hockey that is fun!

Caps have seriously outplayed the Knights the past 2 games. So much crisper passing, so many better shots on goal. On the power play Caps look like they always have a plan of attack while the Knights feel like they're scrambling.

Also, it seems like the Knights defense is completely befuddled by having a guy on the (I don't know the term) weak side(?) of the goalie. That dude has been wide-open on any pass through the crease(?) forcing damn near impossible save attempts.

Hope the Knights tie it up tonight. I want the series extended, its been too much fun.

To me it seems like the Caps constant physical play is getting to the Knights. Last game there were numerous times where the Vegas player was first to the puck, but mishandled it or made a poor play because they were busy looking over their shoulder to see who was coming to hit them. As long as the Caps keep up the hitting, I think they are in the drivers seat. They have the Knights hesitating and bracing for a hit instead of playing their speed game.....advantage Caps if that keeps up.

That's certainly what happened on the Caps final goal in the last game.

That knee check should be a 5 minute major, but it won't be....
Vegas starts out hot, but can't hit an open net and it could very well cost them big if the Caps score on this PP.

The puck is bouncing around like crazy! One thing I noticed is that the caps still look for the pass, but the knights throw it at the net from any angle. It's always a good play to put the puck on the net.

Yup, Knights are playing high speed, helter skelter style hockey. Will be intersting to see if they can keep up that pace all game long.

They are in a real hole right now. Maybe the passing is a good idea after all...

No doubt. That one's gonna hurt. The knights are still punching away, though.

Do the Knights have defensive players?

It feels like its Fleury and a bunch of spectators...

I think they are trying to force the offensive play. They have to control the puck in their zone, but are pushing too hard. Oops. 3-0, caps.

Wow, that one could be the back breaker. 3-0 is a big hole against this Caps team.
