Les Habitants bounce back today in a big way, get even with the Pens.
Halak was back to awesome again.
Big 'un tonight, Sharks/Wings Game 2.

Wow, the Sharks/Wings are closely matched.
Going to be a heck of a series, moving back to Detroit.

Yeah, but needless to say, Det better win this next one.  I'll believe it when I see it but the Sharks have a chance to win it all this year (and the prior 10).

Looks like my master plan of jinxing the Pens and Wings is working to perfection....so far.

You will be getting it in one shape or form.  The Wings are done.  Pitt will take their series.  That was a big win last night to take back home ice.

I hate to say it but I see a Pitt/Van finals.  I think I would watch it hoping for all the fans to get out but the building collapses before the players do

Man, the East is all F-ed up.
At least show up for one game, Philly.
Buncha dogs, laying over like this. That should have been a good series.
I never want Boston to win a game, much less go this deep.

I'm on that bus, too, Jeff.
I've been "not liking" the Hawks, too cocky too soon for my liking, and watching the Canuckleheads last night pull their usual ... we can't beat you so we'll cheap-shot the hell out of you and if you get hurt, oh well ...... crap.
Was hoping for a big brawl that wiped out half of both rosters ... almost happened.
That Burrows is easily in the top 5 douche-bags of the league. What a moron. Both teams are loaded with 'em.
Imo, of course.

Montreal bounces back.
Sweetness!
Detroit gets their one win, in convincing fashion.

Rooting for the Sharks....they're the one team left that's not on my "can't f-ing stand" list.

Right on.
For the same reason.

Canuck  fans continue their legacy of shit.   Their players didn't dissapoint as they decided to chop the Hawks heads off as they got down deep but don't worry folks.  They fans did thier part.  As a Hawk laid crumpled on the ice from a cross check to the neck and cranium, the fans rose to thier feet in thunderous applause.  F-ing unbelievalbe yet, totally expected.

Is it just us that see that, Jeff?
I've always said, if there is ever an event that will get out of hand completely, and someone will be seriously hurt, it will be there.
They seem to have little regard for the respect and honor it takes to play the game.
Weird, because Canada for the most part is nothing like that.
They attract players willing to do nasty, horrible things to advance their cause. I've never trusted them there. Thought it was coaching, but they changed and it remained.

I thought it was Burke's influence but his blueprint has long faded from that team.  I'm clueless why it goes on man.  Needs to stop though.

Man, the Blackhawks just seem so weak-minded at times, can never finish off people.
As much as I despise the Canuckleheds, I simply can't bring myself to pull for Chicago, too many Secord and Savard flashbacks to ever pull for that sweater. (best sweater in the biz, but still)
Hoping the Habs extend the Pens as much as possible.
The final 5 minutes of that Red Wings/Sharks finale was as intense of hockey as I have ever seen. Two extremely-talented teams fighting for every inch of ice.
It was beautiful. You could sense SJ knew if they gave that one up, they were going to have a tough time putting the Red Wings away. It was Game 7 intensity in Game 5. Awesome.

Sweet wins for Philly and Montreal last night.
You are welcome, Phlyers, for motivating you.
Wild, exciting, playoff hockey. Cannot beat it.

Great stuff Stacey
We missed out on one heck of a player to watch there.
A legend that wasn't allowed to finish his story.

Man the Flyers are resilient.

and now Boucher sprains BOTH knees.

In comes Leighton. He has a really cool goalie mask I must say.

I like Simon Gagne. If he could play
80 games a season he would pot 40
goals annually.

It would be neat if the Flyers could force a game 7.

Either team is going to be toast in the Eastern Finals though. Habs have the mojo plus the Halak magic and the Pens have way too much firepower for either team to handle.

Cannot wait for Blackhawks-Canucks tonight.

Which Luongo will we get?

Rooting really hard for the Blackhawks.
Hate the Canucks...a team full of crap weasels.

Hawks / Sharks would be some great hockey.

I also must say the NHL has it way over the NBA in play-off scheduling...the NHL lets you get in a rhythm of watching
almost every night...the NBA with long delays between games in trying to get as many games as possible to the weekend
is a joke and a half.

Now I hope the Sharks crush Chicago.
Excited as hell about tonights games.
Wish they'd spread 'em out.

I am rooting for the Sharks.

They take a lot of knocks because of their play-off history.

I hope they take the Cup.

Sweet as hell to see the Knuckleheads get blown out .  No more of the cheap shots, those stupid green idiots on the penalty box and Nuck fans thinking "we're winning it all baby".  And, oh yeah, my biggest foe of all (Dimetra) gets Denis Lemieux

UNBELIEVABLE night of hockey.
Phlyers keep rolling. Bostons collars keep getting tighter and tighter and tighter.
In a short couple of days, the Boston Bruins went from
* worrying about what to do with all the off-days they were looking at once they swept Philly
* planning for Pittsburgh and how they would finally shake years of disappointment
to
* hanging on for dear life
* planning on how to explain (for the rest of their careers) how they blew a 3-0 lead in a best-of-seven
My what a difference a couple days make. What a huge blown opportunity to turn their fortunes around.
They had their city transfixed on them, they had gotten the buzz back, and now, it is gone.

Montreal, what can you say.
Loved every minute of that game. Man, what a feeling for them. I know some hockey, and I know what a wonderful player Crosby was/is/will be, but just not a fan of his.
Loved what the Habs were able to do, to go into enemy territory and play like they expected to win.
I've always doubted Fleury, and tonight, he was brutal. (yes, he has a Stanley Cup, still don't know how) He's just never impressed me.
Halak may disappear tomorrow and never be heard from again, but wow, was he something this past month. So solid, so steady, he stands in the face of rushes like no other.
So fun that motreal moves on, good for them.
And for a couple of personal digs ...
Re: Matt Cooke .... you can change unis all you want, you're still one of my most un-favorite pricks of all time. Going after Gill's injury tonight during the scrum, nice and cheap, just like you've always been. What an ass.
He may be the one guy who could put on a Wild sweater, and I'd still despise him.
And ... I've watched hockey for almost 50 years, and I've never seen a more puzzling couple of efforts than Gonchar put out there tonight. When you watch highlights, watch a couple of the Hab goals with him on the ice (#55 for the Pens)
Calling him a traffic cone would be a disservice to a traffic cone. He flat-out stopped competing in the biggest game of the year. His lack of effort on Montreals 4th goal woudl have earned him a tongue-lashing in an over-50 bar league game.
It's mind-blowing. Watch him today if you can.
Sure looks to me like the Western teams will rip apart anyone who comes from the east, but I guess thats why we play them out, eh?
