One of my pet peeves came thru last night
Idiots who for some reason feel compelled to pound on the glass at hockey games ....
Bruin fans may have knocked one of their own out last night while celebrating their ot win.

I missed it. Did a player get hit with a dislodged glass pane?

I also agree that the pounding on the glass is sophomoric.

Oh my!
Brown with the hatty as The Kings are taking it to the Canucks again tonight!
Awesome.
Most felt Vancouver and Pitt were the best two teams entering the playoffs.
Both are now (almost) down 2-0 after losses on their home ice. Amazing.

Doh! What a bunch of maroons.

Get this:

After Chris Kelly scores the game winning goal in overtime for the quarter-final matchup between the Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals, the celebration between the Bruins gets intensified by wild fans.

How did WE get blamed?

Love the contra sting styles of series
This caps and bruins series is an old fashioned phone booth wrasslers match
One goal wins every game

What has been up with "universe"? in the Pennsylvania series? The goaltending that whole thing has been atrocious.

I remember getting flak years back for saying Fleury sucks ... still believe it.
Guy is just not a good tender, imo ... too skittish in net.
He's had success, but only because he doesn't see much rubber. IMO

Love how Hunter has taken that Caps team by the neck and totally transformed them .... THEY are now the aggressor, the muckers, the grinders ... and its translating to wins.
And I knwo I'm in the minority ... but Ovie is showing why IMO he is the best superstar in any game ... when he sees that the team needs to get after someone, get grimy, get nasty ... he doesn't tell seomone else to do it ... HE does it.
I love how he buzzes Chara ... almost everytime on ice, he will take a run at him. The biggest man in hockey. Tell me another superstar who is that reckless with his body. I hope he wins a Cup one day, the guy has taken a lot of grief. (yes, much self-inflicted, but still)
Should be 3 great ones tonight.
Bruins best line is Rolston and Pouliot so far. Whoda thunk it ...

http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=espn:7814840

Couldn't have had more cool things happen than did in this game ...
I was livid the other night  .... watchign that goon Boyle get away with sucker-punching Karllson about a dozen times.
So glad the Sens went afetr him. With a vengance. They needed to send that message and did,
And loved that they went after him again with Neil.
And then when Neil scores the game-winner, Boyle was right there, mauling him ... with the close-up look at the goal.
Karma came around, and she was sweet. THIS is why teams still employ enforcers..... the game often needs self-enforcement out there.
Just as Bertuzzi took care of Weber (or at least tried) .... the Rangers needed to get punched in the face tonight ...and they did.
I'm like Melrose .... GIDDY about this.

The Blues/Sharks turned nasty at the end too.
Lots of passion right now.
#1 star tonight was Oshie ... that kid just continues to amaze.
One of those guys who refuses to have a ceiling to his game ... never is overmatched, by any level he plays at.

Yeap, this is an awesome first round!

I totally agree with you my man on Ov8. My favorite player by far because he backs up his antics with the little, grindy stuff superstars don't normally do.

Good call on MAF.  I never really paid that much attention to his game.  You're right.  He sucks just as bad as Universe.  He finally got pulled.

Oh
My
God
This is the greatest playoffs ever
Nastiness everywhere
Don't tell me passion in sports isn't alive and well.
That Phlyer/Pens game was like watching a knife fight .... scary as hell.
Melrose is so freaking giddy, he can hardly talk. I'm with him.
Next target has to be Neal from Pitt .... THOSE are the jackasses who are causing the problems ... fly around, cheap-shotting everyone, then NEVER stand still and answer for it.
He blatantly tried to injure at least 3 or 4 of the Flyers in about 2 min of the third period, and then whines the rest of the time about being penalized.
have no problem if you do that ... then answer for it. Was hoping Simmonds would tear himm apart, but of course, tough guy Neal wouldn't  let go of the stick or the gloves. Shocking.

BTW- if those "green men" get jumped tonight and beaten to a pulp by the guy in the box, I think they should award him some award like "league savior" or something. They are dumbing down hockey. I would say "Vancouver" but we all know that's not possible. It was bad enough years ago. Now ESPN has latched on to them so it's spreading like herpes.

In more ex-Wild news ... Jose Theodore led the Panthers to their first playoff win in 15 years tonight.
Good on him. Guy was solid for us last year.

Hear ya, Jeff.
I'd usually never consider looking up to the way Philly plays, but its been fun at least in THIS matchup.
