Another lead at halftime. Can we come out in the second half and not fall apart?

Is Pitino not particularly good at making adjustments, or are the players out of condition and wearing down late in games?

Does anyone have a diagnosis?

I can't watch because in our household my husband's teams seem to beat my teams 9 times out of 10.

I think Pitino has been very good at making adjustments on the fly. His team just isn't that talented - yet.

That's good to know. I admit that of all the major sports, basketball is the one I know the least about - so I have no intuition about these things.

Pitino has wrung more out of Eliason and Mo Walker in 19 games than they gave Tubby Smith in multiple years combined.

The barn is going nuts for Austin Hollins.

Is he the one with the bad foot?

Completely agree. The end of game losses I pin more on the fact that we're simply losing to more talented teams.

It's amazing. I had high expectations for Pitino, and he's exceeding them. Easily.

Its so refreshing after all those years of Tubby ball.

We constantly change up our defensive looks.

We attack weakness. Tonight we've only tried six 3s, because we're killing them inside.

I'm not sure Tubby ever scouted other teams.

I bet Mo could walk up to Tubby and Smith would have no idea who he is...

'Sconnie lives/dies with 3 ball. Gophers winning inside w/Pitino's alleged Hi-flying 3pointer offense.

Bizarre world we live in.

I *HATE* the "overrated" chant.

Isn't it better to beat really good teams? If the team you beat is overrated, What does it say about your own team?

We survived the 4 game gauntlet of Top 15 teams by going 2-2 with an overtime loss to a top 5 team. Very impressive.

UCLA and Washington St were the other top teams after Mathieu. He's had a few rough patches, but what a solid add to this team. And then some.

Wow. What a game.

After watching Tubby's "what the hell am I suppposed to do with the ball?" offense for so long, it's amazing to watch guys play with confidence.

Such a smart player. Must be a joy to coach; you see him make a mistake in one game and it's fixed by the next.

You don't miss "swing the ball around the perimeter for 30 seconds until the most open guy takes the shot" offense?
