Just got done talking w/ Pitino. Said Andre Hollins will get hips checked. More than his ankle was bothering him. Never was 100%.

Doogie/ESPN 1500

Kinda puts a crink in Reyno's "no confidence" theory.

I thought Andre was the better Hollins but I could easily be mixing them up. Does Andre have one or two seasons of elegibility left?

Andre is the much more dynamic scorer. Better shooter, gets to the line, etc.

Austin is the guy that just does stuff. Excellent rebounder for a guard, passes, defends, etc. He doesn't put up the flashy boxscores, but he does so many little things that help you win. That's why I say he's going to go down as being so underrated. You have to really watch him play to appreciate his game.

Marcus R. Fuller @GophersNow
Can confirm from multiple sources the #Gophers did get a commitment from Senegal big man Gaston Diedhiou. Video here:

Doug McDermott and Creighton stole all my attention this year. I only got to one UNO game. It won't happen again as Creighton lost 4 starters and I'm a UNO alumni.

I hate the NCHC more than I hate the Big 10, so you have a lot of convincing to do.

I was thinking almost the same as my mother also loved Lou. When he went pro he played in St Louis and my mother was able to pick up their games up here and she listened to them every night because of him

Anyone think Pitino would bolt?

Perhaps not?

Doubt it. My guess is Pitino will get a new contract and more money here in the very near future. It may be the rube in me wanting to believe, but Papa Rick says that Richard absolutely loves it in Minnesota, is always bragging about it and thinks he has one of the best athletic directors in the country in Teague. The senior Pitino thinks that maybe the most important thing for any coach in any sport is to have a great athletic director at the head of the program. When he was asked about Richard being his heir apparent at Louisville, he said he advised him against it. He said he thought Richard should stay at Minnesota long term and build it into an elite program.

Agree....plus, his Father wants him to succeed at Minnesota and feels he can! Pitino not going anywhere soon

I'm not concerned. Long term, nothing is guaranteed, of course, but I doubt he bolts from his first job in a major conference after just one year. It's one thing to jilt FIU (or whevere the hell he was) after one year, to do it twice in two years -- one of them a BCS team -- might raise eyebrows. Plus, if he continues to have success here, the offers that will be rolling in will be a lot better than Tennessee. Hell, if he wants Lousiville whenever Rick retires, he can probably have it.

My guess is that we have at least two more years with him. If we're on track for new facilities by then, I think we have every chance to keep him here long term. If at that point our boy Lou Nanne hasn't raised a dime, then we're probably in trouble.

I suspect Lou gets it done and we have Pitino here for a while.

Teague was already on Dan Barerrio's show and said Pitino has absolutely no interest in the Tennessee job.

I'm with ya. Coach K often says the same about his AD. It's ALL about the AD and the person you work for/with. I think you and Dave E are spot on on the possibilities. The next 2 seasons are big.

Louie is supposed to be one of the best there is at talking people out of their money. Teague is great. Where Maturi used to wish a practice facility would materialize out of thin air, Teague got a design and started selling it. Then he lined up influential alumni to brow beat the money out of people.

It still makes me sad that if it was Ohio State, they would have unveiled the design in the morning and had the donations lined up by the afternoon.
