Yep, Jeff. The perimeter shooting, outside of Hoffarber of course-who had a great game last night I should add, is atrocious.

If Gophers had another outside shooter like they did last year in Westbrook, Hoff arber would see more open shots

yep. ballhandling is also a concern of mine. i just don't trust nolen with the ball at all.

It's nice to see the Gophers finally get a signature win within the conference. I'm used to knocking off one top 10 team in the preseason and hoping it is enough for the selection committee.

I trust Nolen quite a bit. He's a very good point guard outside of his inability to shoot.

Anyone watching OT of the Northwester-Michigan State game? What was NU doing there???? Down by 2 with the ball....they passed the ball around, burning the entire shot clock, and threw up a 3-pt prayer airball with 10 seconds left on the game clock. Worst strategy I've seen since.........oh, the end of the Gophers-Ohio State game. Why do teams do this when they are behind in the last minute?

It's that Princeton Offense. It's effective in making most possessions worthwhile, but it is not designed to prep you for a last shot type of situation.

One of these days I would like to see a small lineup with Williams at the four and Mbakwe at the five. Hollins at the three. And just run.

Wow. It took all of 3.5 minutes for Iowa to totally erase an 11 point halftime lead.

Gophers are 21-0 when Sampson blocks at least 3 shots.

He has 6 so far tonight.

Played to the level of their opponent.

Lucky to not have that cost them. Very stale 1/2 court offense.

Watching Hoffarber run around trying to get an open shot, then watching a pro game where we always see a guy on the wing free for a 3 pt shot made me think Hoff might have a decent pro career. Not as a starter, but coming off the bench

Big game for the Gophers. An opportunity to get a conference road win.

Will Pete be in attendance?

Unfortunately not. A very good friend of mine has a big music recital tonight, and I didn't feel like saying, "Hey, I'm sorry, I'm going to a basketball game instead." Oh, well. I'll do what I normally do when I can't catch a game live -- DVR it, answer no phone calls from family/friends, and watch it later that evening.

Non sequitur. The only time I can remember those loyalties conflicting was in the 2004 women's Elite Eight (and, along with my home state loyalty, I had a crush on Lindsay Whalen, so I was cheering for the Gophers).

The true test. If Duke was playing in Ann Arbor today, where would the recital rank?

Just givin' ya crap. Dukie.

Pete would have a tough decision.....as much as he is a sports fan, he is also a huge music fan with a music major from Duke if I recall correctly.

Music majors are weird. I had little hope for Pete before I knew that fact.

Gophers clearly a better team. Let's finish them off.

And I don't care what the announcers try to tell me. I prefer this team when Nolen is not on the court.

Nolen is not the point guard of all point guards, but he is vital to this team. Then again Hoffarber is an okay ball-handler these days, always has been a good passer, and he's not one to create his own shot anyways.

How is it possible for a team to have 11 rebounds in 40 minutes?

They had 2 starters that didn't grab a single board in a combined 52 minutes.
