Great stuff Jeff I love that we have given the right players the opportunity to play for this team In the past a couple of the most important guys we currently have ... would not have been given scholarships They play the modern game, the smart game, its not about looks and flash, its about knowing the game better than the opponent The low cycle game is so fun to watch when you have smart personnel running it We have a roster full of rink rats who get the game. They send pucks to areas where their teammates will be. They have a feel for each other and its already evident. Your Ranta comment made me chuckle, said the same thing to my kids. Last year he was King Kong, now he's a grunt. Trust me, I spent 4 years trying to figure out how to stop Nelson from scoring. Right now he is a fantastic fourth line long-reach extra D-man playing forward. To have that kind of depth is amazing. because trust me, if that kid pops open in front with a chance to win you a title, he's scoring it. Mike Koster is Spurgeon. Its about puck movement and simple plays, and he makes those like a senior already. Faber is great, and Lacombe is like some superstar no one has talked about. Meyers is another, he has the best traits of Pohl, Guyer, etc .... controls the play I'd say the glaring lack to me is only a Potulny type. A guy who will jack up a teammate who doesn't go all out to get a puck deep. Maybe we have one, he just hasn't stepped up yet. LaFontaine is always going to be the key. Weird how the goalie position was always our worst feature, in our best years. He has settled in nicely so far. Like we are all saying, the first time we really face some adversity, we will know more about how far we can go.
