Like we've been saying, a ways to go yet.
Not enough Potulney or Koalska on the roster.
GO TO THE STATE TOURNAMENT
There are still some kids out there who can turn us around in that regard.

They talk about the BIG 10 but the hockey program has been down for a lot of years....same as the bball team. If they started winning fans would come.

I took it a different way. I thought the article was meant to pound home something that has been talked about for quite awhile. Bringing it up more than once is a good way to remind people once again that this is an issue that needs to be faced. We do it all the time in our families because we know that telling kids to pick up their rooms once never gets it done. It's on the seventh telling that those dirty clothes make it to the hamper.

I suspected, when reading the article, that the frustration had built up enough that the author felt compelled to throw this right into the face of the U of M again, hoping they'd address it. I DID read, just last week, that prices of tickets for sporting events was going to be reduced, which should help, and this article made the point that playoff games should be included in the ticket packages.

Two kids on it who started their careers here in the southern part of the state
Huge for this area
Never thought I'd see the day (at least this soon)
And there are at least a half dozen others from this area on (or soon on) other D1 rosters. Unheard of.

One of the best games I've ever been at
We were 50 rows straight up from where THE GOAL happened
We were all begging Wheeler to get there, get there, get there, touch it, touch it, .... OMG OMG OMG
Place exploded. It was one of those nights where we busted out into the streets, everyone high-fiving and screaming
St Pattys Day blew up, the UND fans in attendance were stunned.
Long night after that for this cat. We partied like it was 2007
One of the few times in MN sports history where WE got the miraculous break.

Sampo looks amazing, added some burst to all that talent
The bigger forwards finally are forechecking like demons
The veteran D seem solid and smart
The new D were better than expected, smart and ready to step up at all times
Sorry to tell you Bobby, but you have a roster that should win, big.

Status: online 		I caught the last 2 periods last night and really liked what I saw from this team.
Every line had jump and they were all over PSU the whole time.
Last night was the kind of Gopher hockey I expect to see when I tune in and wasn't disappointed at all, unlike the previous few years.
As you say SoMn, now the pressure is on to keep it going and improve along the way.
Some crazy ass schedule this year, but that is what DVR is for I guess. Thursday night and Friday afternoon games....oh well.

I was not a big fan of the Motzko hire at the time, but fits right in with the pattern of Coyle's hires. No dicking around with search committees. He always has a short list of candidates in his pocket. Lose a coach, go hard after the first name on your list, get them and watch the program improve.

It was a perfect day to get done early so I can watch the whole game. PSU has more jump today as expected, but the Gophers look to be the more talented team this year.
