ORIGINAL: Jeff Jesser Thx man, not gonna be macho. That made me cry. I miss that. Glad you got it...... That's why I cant quit coaching. Stuff like that. No one gets it, who hasn't been there. Its amazing. The bond that hockey players can develop is an amazing thing. I felt like spewing hate towards UND until I kept looking at pictures of those players, spent, tired, sad, and knew what they felt. You can see how much they wanted that one. My sons involved in the GF scene, and he said it was ugly at the start of the year up there ... when the Sioux were struggling, he saw some really nasty things going on. He takes TONS of grief for being a Gopher fan in that atmosphere, but even he felt compassion towards them after last night. They bonded tight when their fan base turned on them early. The locker room is the one place where teams can always pull it together, no matter how it looks from outside. Holls probably the least-known "name" in that Gopher locker room, but to see all those "stars" give him their love is what its all about. Coaches and outsiders don't have to spend much time worrying about locker room karma. It almost always works itself out. They either bond together like brothers, or split apart, and fail. No hockey team ever succeeds, imo, with a disjointed locker room. You see it in other sports, you wont see it in hockey.
