That kind of thing NEVER happens FOR a Minnesota team. Unbelievable. So happy to say I watched that happen.

So true. It seems that it usually happens AGAINST us.

Does anyone need a smelling salt to regain consciousness? Not that I have any. Just asking.

And the joy just continued as they showed the obnoxious UND fans sitting silently (for once).

Just a feeling.

I've been bouncing back and forth between recordings of the Wild and the Goph's to FF through respective intermissions. What a WILD finish to the Gopher game. Never seen a shorty win it with anywhere near that little time left. Awesome to see SUE players and fans disappointed.

Schadenfreude is so intoxicating, isn't it? (Particularly when NoDak is involved.)

Not gonna lie, watched that whole game thru my fingers.
What a relief to get that ugly thing out of the way.
Absolutely completely relieving to win that way .... so much fun.
Haven't read a post yet ....
Hard to get off the Wild game, that one was a blast too.

Right there for me.
Mostly because of the pressure.
We had ALL the pressure and it showed.
Wilcox was outstanding.

Strangely similar to the famous "Wheeler Miracle" that I was fortunately present for.
That one happened right in front of me and my family.
We still talk about it. We will probably talk about this one awhile too, even tho we just saw it on TV.

My exact thoughts.
That shit happens to we Minnesota fans more than any other fans COMBINED.
I'm not going to shed one tiny little bit of sorrow for anyone else who gets their hopes CRUSHED.

God I love seeing UND cry. To get it the same week we witnessed Wisco tears? Our cup runner over.

Bingo. Been a good week.
Could get a lot better at about ten on Saturday night.

I'm sorry I missed the game. To be honest with you, I was afraid to watch. I've been disappointed so many times. I'm happy you guys hung in there and watched it. You are true fans and you deserved the victory as much as the team.

Yes, you do. I don't anguish as much over college pucks but....

Holl's goal landed the Gophers in the championship game for the first time since 2003.

Nice to see the Frozen 4 get a LITTLE national PR on line. SI.com didn't have anything on the main page, which is lame.

but ESPN(of course, they carried the game) and CBS did, with video.

The manner in which it ended probably helped that a little ... its usually a big secret nationally. Sadly.
So much hoopla for FB and BB final games, and so little for the other sports.
Not fair, really.

We beat the Blues and The Poo on the same night

If the Vikes had of won the SB this year I would be convinced I've died.

And based on the comments, Brodziak scoring 2 times was on that level as well.

A trifecta of unusual sorts....

5 things I'll never forget:

1. Matty K leaping in to the bench after scoring that goal to send it in to OT with under a minute to go

2. A ND kid, who many of went "WTH Don? Why are you recruiting that kid?" putting us back on the map in OT

3. Wheeler's miracle that SMF mentioned earlier

4. Last night

I DVR'd both, watched the Wild 1st, then the crazy Frozen Four.

My wife was like, "Wow, what's going on up there?" (Bonus room, Big Screen)

Helluva fun viewing night.

With all of good feelings, the kids on campus rioted in celebration with 10 arrested. Did they think it was the final????? No body does that for a semi final
