It's hard to squeeze sawdust from a composite stick, but we're sure as hell trying.

More nervous than stoked.

There is no upside, only downside. Can't lose to these guys.

Right where I am.

My wife is a Badger (puke) as are several close friends. Not a one said the Final Four game last weekend was enjoyable (even dring the game when they were winning).

You don't enjoy these types of games.

You do your best to survive them.

God I love seeing UND cry. To get it the same week we witnessed Wisco tears? Our cup runner over.

Just now started breathing again. Oh. My. Crapola.

When we scored midway through the first period - didn't you guys all think that now that the seal had been broken there was going to be another quick goal right afterward? It seems that happens a lot in games that go so long without a goal, but of course the hope was that it would be US that got the second one. Heck they hadn't even announced the first one when North Dakota came back and scored.

But to win the way we did was fantastic. The refs hadn't called ND on the too-many-men penalties earlier so it was a killer that WE got penalized at the end of the game to put it on the line. So to win on a shorthander with 0.6 seconds was unbelievably wonderful.

And I'm glad we don't have to meet Boston College in the final, although I don't know much about Union.
