Which means Robinson may put up an embarassing number Saturday.
This is a disaster waiting to happen.
Michigan is rolling, and wanting to make some statements.

uh-oh.

Will there be 110,000 fans in the stands? They will want blood.

I heard that when Gray is in at quarterback, the defenses dare him to throw the ball down field and play the run. When Shortell is in the game, they play a more honest defense, which actually loosens up the running game for the Gophers.

Shortell is the starter. Gray is still limping.

It is so frustrating watching these players try and play defense. Can't anyone tackle?

It looks likevMichigan is using this game bas a practice game

We're getting a good look at what a non-mobile quarterback looks like behind this offensive line. We have about less total yards than Michigan has points.

I'm not even convinced Michigan is better than Nebraska. If Iowa, Penn State, and Ohio State weren't down the Big Ten would be nuts this year.

Their second-stringers vs our starters is STILL a mismatch.
Wow, we are down. Really, really, down.
You guys really think Michigan is that good?
I think Wiscy beats them by at least 14.
I guess we'll see.
The Neb/Badger game should be a classic. 2 super programs. (much as that pains me to say)

I think you're right on about Michigan/Wisconsin, it'll be at least 2 TDs. It'll be name-your-score when we play both the Badgers and the Huskers, hopefully they'll be in a good mood those days.

I couldn't watch too much of it today, it wasn't even a competition. Michigan probably has harder days in practice. We have so far to go to be competitive, and it's going to take a while. I still have faith in Kill, but I'm not as enthusiastic about him and his staff as I was a month ago. These guys should be able to tackle and block with some degree of competence, and it's hopeless right now.

Nebraska's defense is really down so far this year. I think they over adapted to schemes they believe will be more effective in the Big 10.
Wisconsin is a 10 point favorite and they probably should be.

Too bad the Gophers don't get the first pick in the draft for being so inept. In college sports, I guess the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

Okay, you're totally right about Nebraska's defense. Their offense will keep them in any game but they don't look like an elite team overall to me.

Totally unfair that the Badgers added Wilson.
Dude's incredible.

Wisconsin is the class of the Big Ten this year. Michigan is not even close. Which only makes the 58-0 beat down that much worse.

As to the Gophers, I will repeat; Tim Brewster's legendary prowess as a recruiter is the greatest fraud ever perpetrated on "Gopher Nation".

Too many systems, so he never got guys for one system. Plus now we've implemented a new system with a new coach. I've also heard he had ins with the recruiting services so MN recruits were rated higher than they should have been. Not sure if that's true or not, but seeing them on the field makes it almost believable.

Interesting that, although the Vikings have been at least competitive (ish) so far, I have more faith in Kill long term...even though one certainly would have expected to see SOME improvement in areas like, you know, tackling.

And the year started so promising...............a two game win streak to end last season and a close 2 point loss at USC.

Then, completely in the tank.  So much so you can hear crickets in this thread....

I don't know why, but the team is just not responding to this coaching staff.  I don't believe New Mexico State, Miami, OH and NDSU are more talented than we are.  IMO, Horton would have been a better short term coach, but in the long run, I still think Kill is the right guy.  One can hope anyway....

On a brighter note, I see Eric Decker is leading Denver in receiving so far this year.  His 20 reception for 270 yards and 4 TD's would all be Viking highs also.

Pisses me off that people think Decker could not have helped the Vikings.
That wanting a kid like that is ony "homerism".
Believe it or not, there are sme high-quality capable kids being turned out in this state all the time.
Liking them and wanting them on our pro teams does not mean we are blind.
Decker was elite, and is elite. Wes Welker with better tools.

Some of us think nothing can help the Vikings.
