Really impressed wth Limegrover today. Where has that been for a year and a half? He and Claeys badly outcoached Pallini and staff. That was a great win.

The first ten minutes looked like they were going to blow the doors out of TCF

The guys got it going after that and played a very good game. If FB (forgot his name) and Engel catch balls that hit them right in the numbers, it would have been sealed a lot earlier. Nelson had a couple of over throws but was pretty good. Cobb was awesome and don't even get me started on Hagg's. Dude was a beast all day. I bet he goes in the 2nd round come April. He has that kind of talent.

I think Ra'Shede will go in the first. His athleticism, especially his strength, will stand out at the combine. The kid is crazy strong. DE skills in a DT body. He will go in the first.

He has the talent. Do you think he gets lazy too often though? That would be my only question mark on him.

When he's on, he dominates.

Gophers are 8 for 9 in converting 3rd downs. Indiana's defense is as bad as advertised.

Terrible 2nd half D. Did Hageman even play???

And, why did we hand it off and not take a knee with 14 seconds to go? Just stupid decision on that one. Sure we got lucky but damn.

A win is a win!

However the secondary needs to shore things up.

On a very positive note it was nice to see the gophers passing game come very much alive.

A very entertaining game, but would have liked to have seen the team really put Indiana away.

I was asking the same thing. It was because Indiana had three time outs, so you use up more time running a bit rather than just taking a knee. Luckily Indiana stopped using their time outs after the first one, but you had to hold your breath when they handed off the ball.

Thought for sure we we're going to puke that one up, glad they handed it back to us.

The offense they were running was even quicker then a hurry up. They were snapping the ball before defense could read what they ever doing or even get their hands down. Hard to deal with. Michigan had just as much trouble with them last week. These cute systems will be figured out by next year

I questioned it at first too. But as Lynn said, Indiana had 3 time outs left. If we just took a knee, they would have forced a punt. Even without the first down, running the ball would have burned up the clock. It was the smart play. I'd rather hand off than punt.

That terrible Iowa loss really killed the support for this team. Appears like it's finally starting to come. Even if we lose the next 4, we still end with a winning record and an improvement from last year. A win over Penn State and in the bowl game would make for an amazing year.

Amazing finish. Gophs were cooked on D.

When was the last time a MN QB nearly threw for 300 yds and 3 scores, and looked "good"? A good running game?

When Nelson was out, I thought they were toast. Leidner's 4th down pass was there. Engel botched it. Could have been caught.

The 4th down fake punt was gutsy.

Didn't get a chance to post at the end of the game yesterday. Ridiculous defense on both sides. And then the luckiest play ever. As soon as the Indiana QB threw it, I could see what was gonna happen. How boneheaded of a play was that?? Complete disaster from the start. We were done. No way we were gonna stop them if they just keep doing what they were doing against us. Complete gift. I'll take it, but man....that game did not inspire confidence.

The Indiana coach blew that game by going for 2 on their last TD. He kicks the extra point there, they only need a field goal to win. Gophers were gassed in the fourth. Nelson keeps getting better, but he really needs to work on his accuracy. I never was impressed with Kirkwood, Cobb is by far the better back.

Engel just baffles the crap out of me. It seems like every game he has a TD reception coupled with at least 2 drops on 3rd down plays. There was a 3rd down play from Nelson where it wasn't the easiest catch, but Engel adjusted beautifully under the defender only to have it go through his hands. My jaw just about hit the floor when the announcer said "Boy you don't see Engel drop those very often." He does really well getting open and adjusting to the ball, then he turns into lobster boy when it comes to getting his hands around it. Every game he plays a role in getting us ahead and then plays a major role in us sweating out the last minutes. We need a little more consistency dude.

The next game with Penn State is is our best shot at 8 wins. We really need to nail it down. Wisconsin and Michigan State just administered beat downs to the 2 teams that beat us earlier.
