It was Year Zero, not zero year.

Thank goodness I stopped drinking that crap.

1 Coca Cola in the last year and a half. no other caffiene sodas either. Some A & W root beer, a couple of sprites and a couple of orange sodas.

Yeah, my soda intake has gone way down too. Pretty much just ginger ale once in a while now.

Oh that's great....just great. The only "good news" is he will qualify for a redshirt and return in 2019. WHY CAN'T ANYTHING EVER GO RIGHT FOR US?????

Trent Green is out of the QB battle. He has started working out with the TE and WR. The battle is down to Viramontes, Tanner Morgan and Zack Annexstad. Out of 15 spring practices, Morgan has run the first team 9 times.

I think it is safe to say that Kill / Claeys were not very adept at recruiting QB talent. They tended to go for athletes who happened to play QB as opposed to real QB's. It sounds like Zack Annexstad is drawing a lot attention. He took the starting job away from another D1 QB recruit at the IMG Academy. Annexstad turned down a few legit D1 scholarship offers to walk on with Minnesota. He is a true freshman, so my guess is that he either wins the starting job or red shirts.

I am guessing part of the reason Morgan is getting the majority of the first team snaps is that he has a year in the system under his belt.

Yeah, read the article and Annexstad beat out a kid who is going to Rutgers on scholarship.

Sounded like Fleck was impressed w/him running the 2 minute offense.

After the Spring Game, it looks like Tanner Morgan has solidified his status at the top of the QB depth chart. Annexstad looks like he is running second. The wonder juco Vick Viramontes has some ground to make up over the summer. He is solidly in last place. I still think the only way Annexstad doesn't red shirt is if he wins the starting job. Fleck is pretty resolute on not pulling off red shirts unless he absolutely has to. No doubt Annexstad will get the first scholarship that becomes available.

This is a nice boost to the Gophers. O.J. Smith, the defensive tackle who transferred in from Alabama gets another year of eligibility. We were originally supposed to get him for 1 year, now we get 2.

Congrats to the Gophers program. It's pretty remarkable in this day and age to fail to get 1 guy drafted.

I may be wrong, but I don't think any Badgers were drafted either, right?

They had 5 kids drafted.

1 in the 4th, 2 in the 5th, 1 in the 6th and 1 in the 7th.

And 3 UDFAs signed (including one to the Vikings)

Not surprising, we are a DIII program masquerading as a DI program.

I figured I was wrong. I just didn't see any drafted in the early rounds and made a big assumption.

Look at the bright side Lynn. Seven of PJ Fleck's Western Michigan players have been drafted in the last 3 years including WR Corey Davis, #5 overall in the 2017 draft.
