ORIGINAL: SoMnFan I came in expecting a Ferentz rant, Tim Disappointed What a TOTAL dick he was Friday night Sucks that he has our number so bad, we can't say jack But you'd think a guy who had THAT rough of an off-season, would keep it calm for awhile Guess not Can tell how worried he is about keeping his job Not at all apparently Ferentz is what he is ... which is to say he's a dick. If you don't want to listen to him being a dick then build a team that can beat him and kick his ass from one end of the field to the other. So he either has to get fired or keel over for any hope of that happening. No, I don't agree with that. I think Fleck is capable of building a winner. It does take several years of good recruiting to build up that kind of depth though. I thought he already had done that?? No, this is only his 4th season. When he took over, he didn't even have enough healthy offensive linemen to have a spring game. The depth was non existent. Any good recruits had their red shirts torn off and got put on the field as freshmen. Wisconsin and Iowa don't do that unless a kid is so good, he just forces his way on the field. Fleck was here long enough to recruit enough guys to supplement stars like Winfield, Coughlin, Martin, but not enough to supplement AND replace them. He's has had more success with offensive depth. It really takes more than 3 recruiting classes to get there. Oh, silly me. Guess that all that hype about a program that turned the corner after the NYD bowl win, preseason top 20, and the recent great recruiting classes influenced me into believing these types of seasons wouldn't happen any more.
