Wow, Randy Moss having a terrible half.

I have never seen him play so poorly.  Maybe Cris Carter was right - Moss hates the bad weather.

They come along all the time, these young guns eager to face the legendary Brett Favre. Matt Cassel. Trent Edwards. JaMarcus Russell. To them, it's a "grandchildren" game, as in: One day, I can tell my grandchildren I played Brett Favre. In that respect, the Broncos' Jay Cutler is no different. Leading up to Sunday, he showed the obligatory reverence toward the most prolific passer in NFL history. But, unlike the others, he actually threw himself into the Favre conversation, claiming he has a stronger arm than the Jets' quarterback. "Yeah, I think so," Cutler told the Denver media, laughing. "He's 39, soon to be 40. I think he may have given me a run back in his 20s, but I think I got him now." In Colorado, they call it necessary brashness. In New York, where Favre's stature is approaching Namath-esque proportions, it's known as Chutzpah.

A couple of things Petey :

The Jets added 6 Pro Bowlers, who are they ?

The Vikings DO have the leading rusher in the Conference.

The Jets won FOUR games last year, the Vikings didn't.

The Jets had Thomas Jones last year, along with Leon Washington, Coles and Cotchery.

I think it's a plus that the Jets throw a lot of passes to their RBs, it's smart.

Guts+TJACK does NOT equal MVP.  But Guts has won plenty of games now and is playing well.  Favre has also won many games now, and is playing well.  Favre also won some tough games on the road, NE and Tennessee.

I wish I would have predicted the Broncos upsetting the Jets, I saw it coming and was telling several people this Sunday morning.  The Broncos were spanked at home, the Jets just had 2 big road wins (ready for a little letdown), and the Broncos had the WRs to exploit the Jet 2ndary which is VERY weak.  It's amazing the Jets have won as many games as they have, and somewhat of a tribute to the leadership of Brett Favre, a QB with guts.

Just like QB GUTS Frerotte !

Matt Cassel Could Wind Up with the Jets
Sun Nov 30, 2008

CBS Sports analyst and former NFL executive Charley Casserly believes New England Patriots QB Matt Cassel, who is slated for free agency after this season, could end up with the Jets. Current Jets QB Brett Favre has yet to tell the team whether or not he's coming back for the 2009 season, and the Jets have very few, if any, other options at quarterback.

I love Plax as a player, but he's an idiot.

Well, that's at least a better alias than "Ron Mexico".

If he had a sense of humor he would have said his name was Ron Plaxico!

Actually I heard that on Around the Horn or something.

Kornholer making the  game unbearable again  tonight. These stupid staged presentations...Started to do a segment on prima donna receivers, but it last to long, so all he accomplished was to lump Andre Johnson in with TO, Ocho and Plax..When I think his intention was to give Johnson credit for not being a diva.

I'm not even watching the game, but that's funny.

Andre Johnson is the best WR on the planet right now however.

I tried. I sent an e-mail off to ESPN but never got a response (didn't expect one). I've been watching the Wild game and just peeking in at MNF once in a while, so I've managed to avoid the Korny Komments.

Get the name right.  Here's a hint, it's in my user name.  Thanks.

Law, Richardson, Favre, Faneca, Franks and Woody.

It's an absolute joke that Favre received ONE MVP vote last season.  This season, he shouldn't even be remotely considered.  Must suck being you, thinking that he's more deserving than Adrian Peterson.

Maybe Marty just wants you to know he's not "hot".

Favre for MVP is too much.

Discounting what he's done this year is too much.

I think he'd be worth 2 more wins with us this year for us. Still nowhere near MVP.

I wonder if there will be a Favre watch 09?

Building Blocks Sure, they're only 5-7 after a win over the Jags, but the performances of Steve Slaton (2 TDs) and Mario Williams (3 sacks) showed the Texans are moving in the right direction.

Articles like this are a joke.  There are no moral victories in football and it doesn't take more than a year, two at the most, to turn a team around if you know what you are doing.  All you have to do is look at Bal and ATL.

The Texans have been on the verge of becoming good their entire existence.

Same with us.  If we don't make the playoffs now you have to fire Bard.  Really, we should be able to win at least one playoff game this year since it will be at home.  Most likely one of Dallas, Tampa, Car, or ATL will be coming to our house for a playoff game.  A good coach wins that game.

Yeah, Dallas has a lot of weapons but you can rattle Romo with pressure and he has not been great in the playoffs anyway.  THe other three will be rematches

Simply put...3 are too many people in the booth.  Korny is a waste of Oxygen and needs to go...just leave the other guys in there.   Works for EVERY OTHER FOOTBALL BROADCAST.  Play by play guy and a color commentator.

It appears my prediction of the collapse of the San Diego Chargers was a year premature.  Norv Turner is not a good head coach...it's that simple.  Good OC/QB coach, yes...but every single time he has been given the reins of a franchise, he's turned it to crap within 24 months.  There is a good chance ol Norv isn't the SD HC after this season (at least he shouldn't be).  Any interest in ol Norv taking over the OC duties for the Vikings?

Good news! Even though the Harris Smith jerseys are disallowed, you can still get a Rae Carruth or O.J. Simpson jersey.

I'd love that.

He believes in toting the rock, but he also is (IMO) the best QB coach in the business.  So if we have a young QB drafted, Norv is the guy I'd want teaching him.

I can't see Brad taking a guy with his pedigree on the offensive side of the ball.  It is his KA offense and he wants to call plays - especially since Reid never let him call plays in Philly.
