The Vikings are a weak offense but for AD, who elevates them to maybe average. 12th in scoring and 17th in yards.

The Eagles have a good offense with McNabb and Westbrook. 6th in scoring and 9th in yards.

If the Vikings offense was as good as the Eagles offense they would still be playing right now.  They have gotten one play from Westbrook all postseason and beaten two division winners by double digits on the road and are about to make it three.

Status: offline 		It looks like all the people who looked the other way in his earlier incidents created a predictable outcome. Enabling someone by not charging them with lesser crimes makes them feel like superman. It was probably inevitable that he would think he could get away with shooting someone.

And it looks like he has.

 But for some reason he always has been a player that the media loved.  Broadcasters, pundits on the talk shows and journalists always spoke and wrote of him as if he were a great man.  Why did they never bring up any of these past stories?  They (the media) really seem like they are trying to create heroes and villians, despite what the actual truth may be. 

Randy Moss wasn't a saint, but look at how the media treated him compared to Harrison.

I used to think Peyton Manning got off easy for sexually assaulting a female reporter but shooting people may just be worse.

You've mentioned the sexual assault thing a zillion times, and I'm finally going to correct you. It wasn't a reporter, it was a trainer with the team. Not that it makes a difference in the end, but at least I want to have the facts straight.

And it was in college. He should have been punished for it, but if he hasn't committed another transgression in 15 years (or however long), then it's not a pattern of behavior.

2) Do you really believe that he hasn't transgressed since?  I don't.

I haven't heard a thing about anything since, but then I haven't heard anything over the years about Marvin Harrison either. If word comes out that Peyton Manning has broken the law, I'd be among the first to call him out.

Status: offline 		You never hear about 99.9 percent of the incidents that happen with these guys in the public, Lynn.  That's the point.

Pro athletes are a protected class.  Make no mistake, the vast majority of these guys are not people you would want to trust your daughter/mother/sister with.

If someone has a history of being a bad dude in college, on multiple occassions, it's relatively unlikely that they're going to become a better person when they're even more untouchable and have more fame/money in the pros.  I always loved Carter's take on this; money doesn't change you; it just accentuates what you really are.  I 100% agree with that.

I just can't believe bat winging someone is being compared to shooting at someone with the intent of killing them.

What difference does it make if it was a trainer?

If some man did that to my daughter he would not be walking the face of the earth.  I don't care how many years it has been, he should have went to prison.

He is a sexual predator - of course because he is a white QB people will completely ignore that.

You are way to anal on this John. (some reports say he bumped his ass in her face so pun intended)

Too funny that you'd rather be shot at....as long as the the damage wasn't life threatening IE random luck.
