Posting an extra time to move the posts to a new page so we're no longer stretching due to that ridiculously long link up above.

Koren Robinson Reinstated to NFL ESPN's John Clayton reports NFL commissioner Roger Goodell reinstated Green Bay Packers WR Koren Robinson on Wednesday after a one-year suspension, according to Robinson's agent Alvin Keels. "He just got this letter this morning," Keels said. "He's flying to Green Bay and will start to catch up on things with the team. The Packers have a bye week so he has some time to get caught up." Robinson was suspended a year ago for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. Wednesday was the first day he was eligible to return, and after reviewing Robinson's petition for reinstatement and talking with the league's drug counselor, commissioner Roger Goodell granted Robinson's request to return to the NFL. The Packers will be given a roster exemption for Robinson until they decide when he should come onto the active roster. Teammates have been awaiting his return.

According to scout.com-
quote:

* The Michael Bennett trade from the Chiefs to the Bucs will include up to two picks – low-round choices in both 2008 and 2009, depending on Bennett’s performance with Tampa Bay.
I would have let Memo go for that. Sure beats the hell out ZILTCHO... which is probably what we end up getting for him now.

Pitt getting Holmes, Polamalu, and Ward back this week. With getting back 3 of their 6 best players, don't discount them in the battle for 2nd place this year behind the Pats.

Many things have caused Linhan to fail including the old coaches achilles heel of relying on older guys who were successful for you in the past: Gus Frerotte.

Orlando Pace, Steven Jackson, Mark Bulger... Plus they lost a pretty good WR in Kevin Curtis to FA...

quote:

And speaking of what you have come to expect from Tuesday Morning Quarterback -- lavish praise of Bill Belichick -- is there anything we can learn from the Patriots' dominance so far? Sure, and it's odd that other NFL teams are not learning what can be learned. For example: Most New England long passes, and nearly all New England halfback flare passes, are drawn up so the receiver is directly in front of Tom Brady when he delivers the ball. This allows Brady to throw straight ahead, the most reliable sort of pass and one that is in the air for less time compared with sideways passing, deep outs and so on. On Sunday, the long pass to Donte' Stallworth, and two of the big throws to Wes Welker, were on plays drawn so the receiver was crossing directly in front of Brady -- that is, on the imaginary line defined by where Brady is and where the center snapped the ball -- as the pass was delivered. This is an efficient form of passing, so why don't other teams draw up plays that work the same way? And why don't they keep a safety directly in front of Brady?
this is why people think Brady's arm is stronger than it really is Conversely, I think 65% of Palmer's deep completions are outside the numbers - where he can really use his gun

No, I haven't Duane. Jeff George and Jeff Blake both have arguments here actually for me, but they're such terrible QB's overall, that I like Carson for it, personally.

Personally, I actually might take Joey "Matt Leinart #1" Harrington over Leftwich for that offense. And I'm obviously no Harrington fan. I just don't get the Leftwich signing at all for them. He's a statue.

I said that when they signed him Dustin. With that line, they need someone with a little more mobility or a really quick release and decision making ability. Leftwich is not right for that offense. You think Joey got sacked a lot. Leftwich makes Joey look like Michael Vick when it comes to mobility.

He was great in the mid range but he did not throw a good deep ball. It was too flat.

Was usually coming straight down from above, nullified interceptions. They were either caught by the intended rreceiver or stuck point first in the mud. Plunkett was just a good man with an under-appreciated career. Threw his best passes in the biggest games. That sideline bb he threw in stride to Kenny King for the long TD was a thing of beauty.
