Had no idea Larry Fitz was so well-compensated.
Next deal will make him the highest-paid non-QB in league.
Not bad, ball-boy, not bad.

Pretty soon, Cris Carter will be washing HIS car.

Everyone thinks that John Fox is some horrible coach.  People forget he managed to coach the Carolina Panthers all the way to the Superbowl.  And just two years ago was right there in the playoffs hosting a playoff game.   All with Jake Delhomme as QB.

Dude knows something about football.

But sometimes change is needed.  And sometimes when all you have to work with is shit...you get shitty results.

The problem, IMO, in Carolina wasn't Fox.  It's the craptacular ownership in place.  They make ole' Red look spendy.

He took a 1-15 team to the Super Bowl in just 2 years. He's been way more impressive in CAR than Fisher has been in TEN - especially considering what he's been given to work with.

I don't think Fox is terrible either. I'm just glad we got our guy as I'd rather have a young, up and coming guy than a guy like Fox.

Rams fire long time equipment manager

To hear Hewitt tell it, Spagnuolo brought a militaristic dysfunction to the locker room. He criticized the way Hewitt distributed socks. He questioned the way he hung wall fixtures. He scoffed at him for loading the team plane too slowly. He warned him never to talk back to him. By the second year, Hewitt couldn't assign a number to a new player without checking upstairs first. "He made life miserable," Hewitt sums up.

???

Fox is only 4 years older than Frazier!

Leslie Frazier is 51 years old - hardly young

I mean more in terms of coaching experience. Not age.

You mixing up the Rams interest in McDaniels and the Dolphins interest in Childress?

Just checked an article out that said Childress was unlikely to become the Rams OC. Didn't even know there was interest there.

Glad to hear Litchfields John Carlson (SeaHawk TE) will be ok after the nasty head-injury right away today.
Great kid. Kinda took some wind outta the sails early.
Here's hoping he returns next year 100%

That was a hard hit on frozen turf. I'll bet he'll be seeing double for a few days.

Glad to hear he's okay.

That second Seahawk injury, late in the game, looked like it may have been worse. I feel bad, but I don't even remember the name of the player.

Cornerback Marcus Trufant was the other, Lynn ...
Both were going to stay overnight in the hospital in Chicago but both were described as "ok"

A NFL player and former local high school standout has been arrested by St. Louis police.

Laurence Maroney, 25, is being held on unlawful weapons charges and drug charges. News 4 confirms he and 3 other men were in a vehicle pulled over by officers late Monday night.

Maroney is a running back for the Denver Broncos. He was traded late in the season by the New England Patriots who drafted Maroney in the first round of the 2006 NFL draft. Maroney was a standout for the Normandy High School Vikings.

Maroney's publicist told News 4 that Maroney was not with the car involved in the high speed chase. He just happened to be behind the car, ‘by pure coincidence.’

News 4 is working on getting more information on this breaking story. Check with KMOV.com for frequent updates.
