Lions come to earth on road this week? Yes I think so!

My gut was to pick them at home against Washington and I went against my gut, I have had too much faith in them this year.

Very un-Lions-like the past three weeks.
Time for their reality check, hopefully.

Yes I think the Lions offense can be as good as anyone. They struggle to hold leads. I picked them to win in Lambeau because the way the Packers were playing that is what should have happened but the Lions didn't get off to their normal start, they slept walked through first half and then ran out of time like a squirt level hockey team. I disrespected Washington early, I have not been impressed with them and I instantly picked Detroit to win. I then started playing not to lose on the picks pool and decided why should I stick my neck out for the Lions? Well because I thought they were a playoff team to start the season. I gave into the pressure of 538 percentage chance who was going to win. I was doing much better picking this year when I stuck to the gut and read nothing.

After watching Houston(highlights, who am I kidding?) last night I am not sure that Houston will do their job at home. Houston is like those Vikings teams early under Denny. Win the games at home you should but never get win the hard ones. So with that theory in mind Houston should beat Detroit at home. I am not confident in Detroit winning on road in fact I think Houston and Detroit are similar in the home versus tough road tendencies which would be a solid argument for Houston winning this week.

Houston did their job at home. We did not. Detroit did their job they blew a lead. We did not hold a lead. We then promptly allowed arguably the best 23 second quarterback in the game time in the pocket to throw. I still hang this game on Zimmer for Prevent defense at the end. That is alright I still love Zim, He is better than blaming the kicker. He owned it about the prevent. Congratulations Detroit. Enjoy your bye week. We are going to ruin your Thanksgiving.

I had Detroit battling the Packers in the Wildcard round. I now am not sure the Packers will make it. I think most people would have thought that if one of the packers or lions were not going to make it, it would have been the Lions. Stafford really has what it takes to carry a team. He might be the most fun come from behind quarterback in the NFL right now.

The Lions occasionally have a tepid to hot start to a season, and invariably tail off/implode.

The Lions look a lot better this season than I expected. They've gotten somewhat lucky in their wins pulling out some in the last few minutes. Normally, teams can continue to rely on that for a whole season. Their defense still seems a bit soft, but Stafford is having a solid year and their offense seems to be clicking when they need it. If the Vikings continue to lose, DET might be the team best positioned to win the North.

I'm all for uniform experimentation but there's something inherently wrong with the Lions wearing blue pants. Can't get my head around that one.

Only because we have one thread each for the division rivals.

And hey - the Lions are currently the head of the division.

I have this gnawing feeling that we'll see a SB ring on a Lion before we see it on a Viking.
THAT will be the final straw.
It will keeeeeeeeeeeeeeel me.

Just a reminder, Ford Field is 16 years old. One of the two teams on field tonight has played a playoff game there. And it ain’t Lions.

This is the team that will make us or break us this year
Lions could easily go 7-1 in their final 8
Thanksgiving Day is for the marbles.
We couldn't beat them at our place. How do we do it there?

Well for starters don't use the McKinnon wildcat package.

That is one frickin easy schedule they got left. The Vikings are the only opponent they got left that isn't bottom 10 in the league. 32, 27, 5(us), 20, 28, 27, 25, 18(Pukers)

Yep, that's what stood out most to me.
Hadn't really realized how they have us, and Nothing else, really, left to play.

Just hoping that the Browns are due to upset a team - - - and do it to the Lions next week.

The Lions will probably struggle in the colder outdoor games late, ie at Lameblow.

As Cowherd put it "no excuses for Stafford anymore. he's in a division with starting QB's Keenum/Hudley/Tribisky. Not exactly elite company".

Well, The Lions finally got through a game without losing.

They didn't win either, but still. Made Pittsburgh look pretty pedestrian.

Further further future discussion of the worst NFL teams...

They get past the 0-14 teams quickly and focus on the
two 0-16 teams. The Lions and the Browns.

- Wait, didn't the Lions also lose 16 games another year?
- Yeah, but they had moved to 17 games that year.
.- Oh, so they actually won one?
Lions fan - Not so much.
